I learnt to put a staff of teleportation in 2nd slot and your suppose to zip through nm to get to objective. nm countess for example.

Made a lock to stash shit. Ended up playing it too. Just finished N up. Just 1 rank in echoing strike and an Insight polearm turned him into a little god. NM is going to be focus on getting 3 demons up and then bind to max. But being able to do serious damage has made a hell of a difference in clear speed. Use mark to drop the boys in, then just spam the fuck out of strike.
Still using act 1 merc. Put a level 25 runeword bow on her that has rank 15 thorns aura, which also helps shit die.

I just got to act 2 in nightmare last night. I'm level 41 already because I clear pretty much everything as I run through the maps, and also clear the countess every time I start a new game.
Been looking for a 4 socket polearm to make insight for my merc, does anyone know if you can get one in nightmare before cows ?

IIRC insight is the one many screw up on by putting it on the wrong weapon class

Thanks, I'll make sure to keep an eye out for that. Looks like it'll be ok aslong as I put it on typical polearm I would give to act 2 merc.

Insight can go in polearms and bows for sure. Still using bowazon merc, got a nice 4 slot bow for her and moved to Insight. Got a monarch shield and a 2h sword for 2x Spirit for myself. Put the new 3 rune word in shirt, and now I have +7 to all skills on my second lock. Just rescued Anya in NM, so should be in Hell tomorrow.

My favored builds
3 Demon Machine Sorc
2 FoH Pally
1 Mosaic Assassin, even without enigma the super run speed Assassin's is good enough to run around and build up charges
Two builds that I wanted to try
Summon Necro with Enigma (lacking the Runes)
Poison Necro
A proper Lightning Sorc build, I really wanted the chain lightning build versus Nova, but I like the porting mana shield destruction of Nova
Early leveling with pally fire Damage shield and that fire damage bow is unequivocally the cleanest, makes x6 poison(?) jewels look weak
Pally's are so unfair at the start of the game, ultimately Sorcs having native Teleport makes them overall the best in many senses, but it isn't safe until later on when you can tank a hit, and know how to use it. Pally's can have Dual Spirit at the beginning of the game , they get such stupidly OP'd shields with insane resistances, and can just run that damage shield build until early Hell, EZ mode.
Merc Stuff, I feel like Lawbringer Barb is slept on

In the before times I had a zoomancer with enigma. Stacking all your skellies, revives, and a golem at the bosses feet and taking one step back so you don't get touched but your monster stack doesn't break was overpowered as hell.
I decided to pick this up again and tried the warlock. It's so broken but fun. Warlock is basically a druid that doesn't suck.
Demon summoning is seriously afk mode. And the built in summon teleport skill is a godsend for dealing with the crap AI summons usually have.

My 2nd lock is also summoner, but the 1 point I put into echo made me a DPS monster as well. Instead of DM and engorge I have echo on 2nd button now. Cleans house like gangbusters. Think I will level as eldritch for my next one, see how that really plays.
Diablo was where my love for pet classes started. Being a skellie mage back in the OG was crazy amounts of fun. Warlock has been a lot of fun.
Started a new single player account. 90 lock and 85 sorc so far. Have ventnar with Xtra fast, multiple shots and conviction and tainted. Teleport demons, spam blood boil, occasionally heal demons. A2 prayer merc with insight and cure seems to work great. Two synergies for prayer with meditation and cleansing from items.
Have found a few useful drops, shako, travs, maras, eth reapers toll, windforce.
Need 1 more vex or an ohm for CTA.

Managed to get a kind of crappy pole arm yesterday but it had 4 slots so I used it for insight. Came with level 17 meditation aura which I think might be the highest it can roll ?
It's a night and day difference when it comes to mana as long as my merc is alive I can spam spells constantly. Even thinking I might go from 2 health 2 Mana in belt to 3 health 1 mana lol.
Also put authority runeword in some gothic armor, not a bad chest piece for mid-level at all. Been trying to gamble a magefist, couple million spent so far and still no dice.

You can make a cure helm with shael, io, thul I think. Gives cleansing aura on merc. Which when combined with insight, and a prayer merc, it triples the prayer health ticks. Kinda like having a health potion constantly active (on top of dealing with poison/curse)
It does mean that kerc needs life leech from their chest, which is only boneflesh and skin growth or skin of the flayed one (unique plate mail and demonhide armor)
cool thanks for heads up. Don't think I have gotten any io runes yet but seems to drop from the countess on nm so ill have a go at getting it to drop today.
Funny enough my merc was actually already using the boneflesh armor so that's out of the way at least.

Also heads up about gambling you can only gamble items that are I think up to plus 5 char lvl. Magefist have a lvl 29 req, so having a character higher than like 34 dramatically reduces your chances of gambling them as you can gamble the exceptional and elite bases of light gauntlets at higher lvl.
Gambling uniques is not a good method anyway, but if your going to try gambling a low lvl unique, using a high lvl char makes it insanely less likely
You need to understand which areas are base lvl 85, and for terror zones where the monsters don't have immunity to your damage types. It's not that difficult
Also lvls of bosses and their loot tables based on that. For example 🫨 is best farmed off hell Andy. SoJ is best farmed off nm Andy. The absurd tc87 items require farming lvl 85 areas or tzones.
But most people don't understand clvl, ilvl, and treasure class lvls.
