if you can catch KB on this tour do it, so damn good live. A lot heavier and jammy than their albums, which are already excellent.
Probably shared this before, but still probably my favorite song of all time. Mike Scheidt wrote it after having an extended near death experience / hospital stay / health scare, and it was released just as I was finishing my four years of chemotherapy for my own face with death. He absolutely NAILED the feeling of tranquility that comes once you break through the initial wall of fear accept your imminent death.
The entire album (Our Raw Heart) is amazing doom metal (much of it is heavier than this) but this track takes the crown for sure.
