Yeah that's "Proceline Lily" She's like the only person that streamed at 3am for a long time because she's aussie. She's probably the only decent female dota player but dear lord is her voice annoying.

dignitas is no more.

and aui is "auditioning" for the 4th/5th spot and has been for a lil while.

They need to kick eternalenvy from the team and they could easily be a top contender.
i thought dignitas has sponsors and all that, what does kp have?

besides rtz duh

so.... 200 pages late, but i'm just casually getting into the game... i enjoy it, except for the fact that i just don't have a working knowledge of the idiosyncrasies of the characters as well as which items for which hero. like, every starter item for every character is like 3 branches. i can avoid that and go for something a little more tactical, right? like a buckler or some movements speed items or something? i spend FAAAAAAR too much time staring at the shop so i can spend my money before i get ganked and lose a chunk of it... but then i get ganked because i'm buried in menus...

are there any recommendations for wiki sights to spend some time on? i mean i can google it but half of the fan made wiki sites are half empty or not updated... is there a good site with build options out there?
Click the little book in the top left hand of the game screen. It will open up a number of in-game guides which will show you which skills to pick in which order, and give you an actual good set of recommended items. If you're still at the point of figuring out WTF is going on, just buy everything in order from the top down (unless the guide specifically gives you alternate builds).

And branches are fantastic because they give you the most stats for your gold out of any item in the game. 3 branches gives you +3 allstats for 159 gold, which is huge in the laning stage. The downside is that they take up inventory space, but as the game goes on, you can
a) Use them to build a Magic Wand (a really good choice in 90% of cases)
b) Use them to build a Mekansm (if it's a recommended item on your hero and no one else on the team is buying it)
c) Sell them. You'll lose 27 gold per branch bought and sold, but that's a miniscule amount in the mid-game.

that's why you should do bot games while you learn all those basics.
yeah, i keep trying, but my brother in law is just like "COME PLAY LIVE GAMES WITH ME!!!!" because everytime we play against bots 4 out of 5 enemy bots clump up and roam around the map humping each other as they roll over both of us. what are OUR bots doing? frigging jungling. all 3 of them. together. for the entire game. they line up to lane until the game starts and then they immediately starting stealing runes and jungling.

You could try coop vs AI or whatever it's called where it's 5players vs the AI, or was that what you meant? These are heavily farmed by bots though(not the AI ones, the ones that do nothing to get items). But yeah bot AI is kinda fucking shit. Hopefully once they add map creation and shit people will be able to either tweak the AI, or make maps that are newbie friendly to explain basic mechanics and shit without actually being a real game.

I see you've already learned the basics of dota2. Always blame your team, even when they are bots.

Is anyone interested in starting a 5stack for team match-making? We can be gay and have clan tags like [rerolled420brazeitdtf].

http://dotabuff.com/players/123123069I mainly play as the 1 or the offlaner. If any of you guys still in normal who want to bump up to high or very high, this is probably the best way to do it. Win against VH stacks=big jump in MMR.

I can play some stacked games during the day, low bracket SA servers here. My ping might be high on east but I'll try.

I know this is old news to you experienced players, but as someone who has only been playing about a month now, I finally thought to do this. (I think I've even seen it mentioned here, I just didn't think to start doing it until recently.)

Deselect "all pick" and play every other game mode, I chose them all aside from captain mode. So fucking much more fun. I was so tired of seeing SB, DR, and other select heroes in every single fucking game...SB especially seems to be a huge runaway hero in pub games that snowballs to shit very frequently. I instantly had more fun the moment I got rid of all pick, it's almost like a new game, seeing a lot more uncommon heroes and being forced to play new ones. So for other new people like me, keep it in mind if you're tired of seeing the same "pub stomp" heroes every game.

The issue with not playing AP is that if the other team gets lucky with their hero rolls they just win there based on RNG.

Yep, AP is a cesspool. I have more fun playing dumb lineups in AR, even if the RNG fucks me sometimes.

Spiritbreaker is just too strong right now. 58% win rate despite being the second most played hero (generally, 55%+ heroes are the rarely played ones that people aren't comfortable against), which is close to pre-nerf Drow territory. He's damn near impossible to counter without 5-manning, is useful to the team even if he falls behind in farm, and doesn't even need a lane. Level 2 from pulls is all he needs to start making every lane a 2v1 or 3v2. He has the highest level 1 EHP by far, so he'll survive stuff most other heroes can't. Mid-game he can solo damn near every hero on the map if they walk alone.

He falls off heavily in 5-man fights, but his early-mid game is just so strong after the most recent set of buffs.
