New Patch Notes:www.dota2.com/firstblood

Some interesting things... Drops are now tied to dota profile level... Hopefully that helps with the amount of smurfs? Can't believe they changed fountain hooking after this long and how big of an impact it had in TI3 as well.

I like the patch, but as far as I'm concerned, Valve can fuck off with their tinkering with item drops, just keep selling them even if they don't drop, gives people nice price limit. I feel like a lab rat when it comes to them testing items sales/removals, you are already making money hand over first, how much more money do you need ?

UI groups persisting between matches is nice touch, but I'm so used to rehotkeying everything constantly it's not going to make much of a difference

Upgraded Items can always be disassembled within 10 seconds of the combine (same rules as sell back)
Does this mean all items can be disassembled? Or am I reading this incorrectly?

I guess so, within 10 seconds ofc, because there were cases of people with Basher and Demon Edge getting Rapier even though the Basher was in the first slot.

Company develops completely free to play game with no catches and supplies constant updates and amazing developer support.

Players complain about them trying to make money from completely optional cosmetic item system.

Control groups are now saved to the cloud, per hero, and will persist across games and disconnects. They are saved per hero
Alt-left clicking on an enemy icon in the top bar will send a chat message that the hero is missing
When a courier you ordered to the secret shop enters the shop radius, the shop sound is played even if the courier is not selected
The quality of the item drops you are eligible for is now tied to your Dota profile level. You can see your current drop level in your profile page
That's amazing.

Really enjoyed dominating, but doesn't feel satisfying knowing a lot of it had to do with the other side being pretty bad. Not that I'm good or anything, as anyone who's played with me will tell you. Also sucks the other team ragequit but probably understandable when CM is wiping the floor with you.

The LAN change is pretty huge. I mean doesn't affect me in any way, and we knew it was coming, but to see a company in this day make a game work on LAN is quite rare, especially a F2P game that makes money selling cosmetics shit online.

Like the other changes, lots of cool stuff especially UI, at least it's not a shitty patch even if no heroes, see they put some work into that thing.

And disassembling for 10secs is useful for a few reasons, like buying a vanguard by mistake.

They mentioned they will make them sellable on the marketplace, so it means there will be more ways for players to possibly make some cash. That doesn't seem so bad.

This wasn't a balance patch. Note that it doesn't have a version number. It was a Dota 2 bug and feature patch. Fountain hook, SB bash and the other changes which will have balance impact are simply bug fixes / Dota 1 parity fixes.

Next balance patch will probably hit Dota 1 first as normal.

Beginning soon, users will be suspended from Dota 2 for 30 days when external tools attached to Dota 2 are detected by the Valve Anti-Cheat system

Er, so...cheating wasn't even punished until now? Guess they just didn't have VAC tweaked and ready yet.

How can you even cheat ? no maphack, I guess you could replicate the ability radius with some external tools, but that's about it...

The worst offender was Camera Positions (maphacklite) on the minimap. The client does want to know where your camera is and there were ways to see camera positions of the enemy team. No, the camera isn't always where your hero is but it sure wasn't "nothing."

I thought that being broadcasted was fixed a month or two ago ?
