Not really concerned about the holiday season. Been so many decent RPGs released in the past few months that my backlog is huge.

And Lords of Xulima releases this Friday. RPG goodness for dozens and dozens of hours (apparently around 80-90 hours long).
Not to completely derail the thread, but what are you referencing? I've been out of the loop on a lot of this and only partially following the big release schedules (AC:U, DA:I, FC4, etc...). Someone else posted in this thread or the One vs. PS4 thread about recent RPG goodness releases. I need a new fix since finishing Bayonetta 2.

Smaller scale games, but in the last few months

- Wasteland 2, Legend of Grimrock 2, Lords of Xulima, Lords of the fallen (not the best, but a decent game), Valkyria Chronicles, Shadow of Mordor.

Of those, the only ones I have finished is Mordor and Lords of the fallen (missing last boss).

Shadow of Mordor is an Assassin's Creed style game with a talent tree. My brother has been enjoying it. He says the early and late game are alright. He's never played Assassin's Creed.

My only real dilemma at this point is if I'm going to get it on PS4 or PC. I know I want it on PC for mouse/kb, mods, possible better graphic options, etc. But I also want to be able to sit down and just chill out on the tv. I don't do wireless keyboard and mouse setup, and I don't think I'm gonna drop the cash for a wireless controller on my PC either. I point that out because those are both the logical answers to my debate. To be frank though, one of the biggest reasons I'm considering PS4, is my rig is due for an update, and I may get smoother performance off the PS4. I'm running a 7870 taihiti, quad core 3.2ghz processor, and 8gbs of decent ram, but I don't often get to max out a game without hitching or something slowing down.

Tactical is a farce. It is suited for a controller with spamming abilities in a 4 button sequence. If you are going to get it, get it for PS4 if it is to be believed all the issues it had are a result of Sony's 2.0 patch. Which was just updated to 2.02. There aren't any other graphical options aside from a higher resolution, and the entire PC version of the game is un-moddable due to Frostbite. And believe me, when you are running your 45th Rift, you won't want to be controlling the game with a mouse/kb.

Since it obviously inherits Consolitis you would be better of playing it on consoles than masterrace.

I'm pretty sure there's PC drivers for the PS4 controller. Might not be able to do wireless without a motherboard with onboard bluetooth though.

Thanks for the push Ut, you've positively effected my decision. No mod support and a little more research definitely make it a ps4 purchase.

Yeah I don't get it. They're clearly trying to emulate Skyrim, but they're choosing to completely ignore the one single thing that has made Skyrim more successful and given it more longevity than any other feature?

I can't remember the last Bioware game you could heavily mod. The Mass Effect series was reduced to cosmetic mods and that's it (textures, hair, etc.), same with DA:O and I can't speak on DA2 for modding.

Why Frostbite specifically doesn't allow much, I have no clue.

DA:O was moderately moddable. Not Skyrim level moddable, but I'd say similar to Fallout NV levels of moddable. There was a big 'fix all the bugs Bioware is too lazy to fix' mod, several game balance mods, a mod to skip the fade, hell even a mod to make Dog a permanent 5th party member.

Its an EA project, though you must hinder modability at all costs (pun) to sell them your own as dlcs.

DS4Windows

is the one I use.

There is also,DS4Windows by Jays2Kingsbut I haven't tried that one. Can confirm the dsdcs works just fine though. Emulates the PS4 to a Xbox controller. The touch interface on the PS4 turns into mousepad similar to a laptop.

Because EA thinks that Moddable games chew into their DLC sales.

Yep. My best memory from DA:O was
