Time and money.
$60 could be playing Warlords of Dreanor with my friends playing that, or the ones playing Final Fantasy 14, or PRX playing Archage etc. Which all may or may not be better or worse..
hell, I have witcher 2 sitting there installed, but not played yet. and, heck, just grabbed Valkria chronicles the other day. Still havn't finished Grimrock2 . wonder if skyrim or Divinity:OS have any new mods...
Terraria has had a new content patch since I last played. and is getting 1.3 before Christmas I hear. Starbound might get a new stable before then too.. Still got to get to south park rpg. oh, actually, its about time to check with Shadows of Mordor. that should have some real reviews now.
I'll even admit, I logged back into Neverwinter after this talk in here, about the multiplayer. Was pleasantly surprised how much new content was there, not locked behind the paywall.
There is something like 600-2000 games released per year. no way any of you played all of them. Its pretty easy to be picky. Buying any game day one, that is not an MMO, is pretty much idiotic. and rewarding game companies for fucking over consumers. I for one, would much rather wait a bit, and pick the ones that have proven to stand up to hype after 3-6months. For every one game you play, you probably missed 20 fantastic ones. You would absolutely be better off going back and checking on the best of the best of the last 2 years.
