Every time I see this thread pop up it breaks my heart a little.
Dredd (2012) is in my top 10 favorite movies and at this point, I don't want to see it get the Terminator 3, Alien 3, Robocop 3, etc treatment.

I watched Alien3 and Terminator 3 as a kid when they came out and did enjoy them at the time. I only recently watched Robocop for the first time this past spring. I absolutely loved 1 and 2. I have a few brothers, two of them are movie buffs. One warned me against Robocop 3. Told me not even to bother. The other told me I HAD to watch it to finish the trilogy (two 40+ year old angels on my shoulders whispering in my ears). I got about 15 minutes into it before turning it off due to cringe.You watched all of those and that's absolutely what's going to happen and you're still going to watch it and you're going to fucking love it.

I do have shit taste in movies, though. If a movie wins awards, I most likely am not going to like it. It's like Classic Art. I know Beethoven is an amazing composer, but I'm almost never going to put him on when listening to music. If a movie has escapism and is... you know... fun, I'm probably going to like it. (Dredd (2012), Aliens (1986), Robocop, The Dark Knight, Fury Road, Outland (1981), Escape from NY, First Blood, etc).

You need to watch Project X. It's a terrible, fun movie. It would never win an award, but that doesn't take away from the it at all. It's a fun time. I actually saw it in theaters a long time ago with this free movie pass followed by a free concert with some of the music acts in it (Machine Gun Kelly), and lots of free beer. A pretty damn good free time. It was in Philly, and snowing at the time. Still had a blast.

I’m a 30’s millennial. Just have much older siblings and very old parents (70’s). But I grew up on a HEAVY dose of 80’s and 90’s action and comedy movies lol. My dad is an enormous Schwarzenegger fan, so we always had his latest movie on.
I’ve seen it! I was so pumped during the house party/riot scene when Battery by Metallica started playing. My favorite Metallica song.
