The grifter is slow to the punch on this one


Its from a year ago. How this works is a director and writer come together and find something they like to make and pitch it to the studios / studio (if its an IP) and maybe it gets picked up in an exploritory phase and a script starts getting written (which the studio will either buy in advance outright or have the option to if non ip). Often public reaction to the news is a part of the decision or not to move forward at this point so thats why these people leak it to Deadline / Hollywood Reporter / Extra. That was a pitch thing from July 2025 and there has been no further update since, so either the studio wants to see a script or its dead. The only sources saying this is now moving forward are Twitter aggregator accounts that have their tweets monetized, which then the YouTube / Insta / TikTok grifters use all their "sources" and they start making their shit videos with AI thumbnails, and the circle of shit continues.

On the flip side him and Karl Urban are close friends so its probably the best chance to have him back lol.
