I take Kratom every day. I love it. I will certainly not say that it's completely safe or "just kratom", but I only do the ground leaves. Every single horror story I've heard about kratom is on extracts(like OP's first post in this thread) or people eating like 150 grams of the powder a day. I do about 10 grams a day (5grams morning and 5grams after my lunch time workout) and it's a really nice energy/well being feeling. I am curious what kind of withdrawal effects I would have if i stopped at my current intake level.

You'll probably be alright after a week. I don't know how long you've been taking it or what kind.

Ironically, Rajaah Rajaah told me about it maybe back in 2020 or 21. I had just come out of the bad work accident, and was just looking for some sort of alternative for chronic pain. Also talked to a buddy of mine who been in a pretty rough car accident and has issues as a result, and he swears by it.

I was taking it for 4 years or so, but a few months ago I decided to stop just to see if maybe I was becoming too reliant upon it, plus I think I had built up a tolerance. And for as long and I guess as much as I had taken over the years, I was mainly just a little tired that week, but nothing horrible.

When it works it really works. I was just had six capsules of white mange da in the morning, maybe a few more in the afternoon, and then in the evenings maybe have some green or red after getting home from work. Red was always good especially before bedtime because it would normally make me tired and would help with my legs not hurting in the middle of the night.

I have noticed those since I stopped my energy levels are kind of wonky. I mean as much as I talk about cooking and stuff I don't really eat that much, so might be part of it, but I also don't consume really any caffeine. I might have a cup of coffee here and there or a cup of tea, but it's normally just on the weekends or if I'm feeling a little tired from the day before.

I thought about going and getting another batch just to see if I get the benefits of it again, but I don't know. I like the fact that at least it felt like I got some pain relief, but it didn't ever make me spacey or completely out of it. I mean there's only so much ibuprofen or naproxen sodium you can take before it wrecks your gut.

Whichever this one does. Crack?

Looks like opiods for sure. Pipe is harder to narrow down. Given the opiods and teeth, I'd say probably heroine.

No, I buy from Happy Hippo. The packaging makes kratom seem much more exciting than it really is.

I think Kratom is tickling the opioid receptors, although its interesting that the various kratom alkaloids target the opioid receptors in various ways, it seems clear that they are operating like store-brand opiates. There's withdrawal symptoms, addiction hotlines, everything.

It seems like a pretty weak agonist with low binding affinity for the opioid receptors, but man I would just use extreme caution taking anything that hits those receptors.

I did Kratom daily for over a year (several years ago now at this point) when I fucked my neck up and couldn't sleep without some kind of pain killer. Once that was over with I decided I liked it and just kept taking it. At some point I realized I was no longer getting much effect out of it and just quit.

I had pretty much zero withdrawal that I could notice. I may have had a few stomach issues for a couple of days because Kratom leaf is like super crude insoluble fiber and will get you about as regular as you could ever hope to be.

I've never taken any of the hard stuff (or mega doses), but I actually liked kratom better than vicodin or percocet.

If you never increased your dose you likely had a tolerance and wasn't feeling anything (opioid tolerance builds quickly) and thats why your withdrawal was super minor. It's good that it was minor for you, opioid withdrawal is a stone cold bitch.

Don't get addicted to all those sinister, sinister things!

Meanwhile, keep buying poison food laced with sinister, sinister things - with FDA approval, of course!
This comment seems out of place in response to RFK...

What's the update? You may be an utter retard, but still hoping you do well and kick the habbit.

Latest update, I managed to fully kick the habit and have pretty much gotten back to normal. All the cold turkey attempts failed, so I switched to a wean method and very slowly weaned off of the stuff.

Still insane to me that something this addictive is sold in stores. I've come off of month-long Morphine scripts in the past and they were like 1/6th the difficulty of what it's like coming off of 7OH.

From what I understand, RFK Jr is looking at a full ban of it, which I'm all for. It's going to start killing people if it hasn't already. It's basically a Limitless pill which would be good in moderation but I'm guessing 95% of people don't have the self-regulation to take it in moderation and avoid addiction.

Yeah, that's Kratom powder. It's an entirely different world from 7OH, which is more like a synthesized extract. This distinction really needs to be drawn, because nobody seems to.

Kratom powder is benign and helps people get off of stronger drugs. 7OH is more like a Limitless pill that makes you sociable and high energy.

A light dosage of kratom powder would be like 5 grams. A light dosage of 7OH would be like 5 milligrams. In other words, one one-thousandth of the powder.

So if someone says they're coming off a 30mg a day "kratom" addiction and someone else says "that's nothing, I was on 20 grams a day", the former is talking about 7OH or extract and the latter is talking about powder.

Kratom leaf powder seemed to agree with my body for pain relief. I hope they ban the 7OH stuff, but not let the powder get swept up with it. I'd definitely use it again for pain relief over any prescription.

This is what needs to happen, yes. Unfortunately, all of them will probably get swept up. Maybe not though, I think RFK was specific about 7OH being the issue.

Extract powder capsules (the "Gold" ones that are typically two to a pack and like $10 a dose) are really potent/nice and could probably replace 7OH without being as addictive, for people that need something stronger than the base powder.

Regardless, we'll see what happens.
