man i got home from work and just CANNOT connect. the server i play on shows no ping. tried to queue in for like 45 minutes and no motion. i can get to the character builder on a whole other server. I tried to connect to a low pop sub server and no luck. is there a trick? or is this just like new game launch issues?

I tried to make a new character on a new server and now it's all like:

Yesterday afternoon I logged out (got the 30 second warning about doing so) ontop of a rock formation and havent been able to get back in since. I dint just close the client...but steam seems to think it never closes once open

Can you enjoy the game without pvp? I hate pvp. Probably because I'm awful at it.
It's only a matter time until Funcom focuses more on end game PvE. Everyone is pretty much clamoring for it, and surely they've already made enough money off this to realize what people want.

Maybe it's wishful thinking about they're getting constant questions about it - that being said this game is great even with the more shallow end game PvE offerings.

Yeah I can't see it going 10 years. It's like once you take a break everything you built is gone and you have to start all over again. They have to release content like crazy to keep people around long term.

I mean, you have to farm up mats for your house again sure, but all your items and big ticket items you cant fit on your person can just be stored in the bank.

Dont worry, im sure they are aware of this and hopefully fix it so you can quit for a while and come back right where you left it. Its in their interest to do so.

Yeah, I saw people on Reddit flipping out about how if you leave you lose everything. The hardest part is farming up that first set of shit and unlocking everything. If you start with all the crafting stuff unlocked, keep a cutterray on you and a weapon, it shouldn't take that long to get back up to speed. Everything you bank is a bonus.

Hell, you could probably even break down your buggy into parts and store it for an even bigger leg up.

Logged on this morning to grab some granite for base building, and I'm like, "what the fuck, did someone log on super early and snag all these nodes already?"

Turns out, they're not static and I guess get moved after the corialis. I think the dew and flour sand might be static, but ores not so much. So if you had some route you memorized, it's probably not going to work anymore.

I thought Hagga stayed static and only the DD got flipped every week? It's literally the whole map? Ugh.

Hagga does stay static, except for resource locations. The only thing that changes in Hagga is the location of ore nodes and scrap metal metal/battery nodes. Dew flowers and other POI are all static. I think the crystals you use to make cobalt paste are relatively static because they only spawn in specific POI.

In Deep Desert the POI are static in the PVE spots of deep desert, but resource nodes change. The PVP part of deep desert, everything (including POI) change.

Coordinating some time with four other guys to play a couple times a week. However I have a bit more free time on my hands than they do and I'm enjoying the shit out of this game, so I want to play this more than they can.

Any idea how big of an issue it would be if I start out leveling the group in Dune?

You guys able to get spice on a regular? I have so much titanium and stravidium but I can't even get enough spice to make a medium chem factory. I traveled the DD for like 3 hours today and only came back with 500 spice to make 5 melange.
