I love how
Prepotente is almost like a second main-character in that they have agency and plans separate from Carl or anyone else and are generally more thought out and driven than Carl's plans.
Samantha is the best and she will kill your mother.

Caught up…the power bloat is insane.
Next floor sounds cool. Looking forward to whatever happens next.
so gods, demons, and everything in the nothing can now travel up to the radius the AI can control? No matter what happens the AI is gonna be the last boss. Carl better get to smushing everything.

I've never heard an audio book this good. It's more like a radio play than an audio book. Tons of different voice actors, even celebrity voice actors.

These are the first books I have actually managed to listen to. I am really not an audiobook guy. The only other ones I tried and finished a couple of was James Marsters doing Dresden Files, but Jeff Hays is talented as fuck on these.

I liked LoTR but it's just an old guy that sounds like Gandalf telling the story.

James Marstars doing Dresden is definitely one of the best ones in this genre of power fantasy (if you include Dresden in that). I wish Jeff Hays did more books I happened to listen to!

Unless you're listening to the audio immersion tunnel, it's mostly just one guy. Any other voice actors are only playing one character. hays did the entirety of book 1 himself and I think book 2.

I'm on the 5th book now and really starting to dread it coming to an end. It's been a really good series. Don't get too put off by book one with all the rules lawyering and introductions. It picks up the pace in the later entries. 4 was a little slow but 5 really amped things back up.

It's also been finalized as a 10 book series. Book 8 is tentative for May next year. Matt does have Operation Bounce House coming out in between then as well.

There’s a kickstarter for limited and signed hardcover editions of 1-3. There’s even a tier where you can be written in as a surviving, dying character. Or as an NPC who gets killed by Donut then teabagged by Mongo. Those tiers are all sold but LOL. Seananigans Seananigans
