Idk this is part of the charm to me I guess. But a quest journal similar to CRPG like Pathfinder or Baldurs Gate would be good. I agree.

Yeah a simple record of dialogue already encountered would be fine. That’s all, though. Just the transcript, verbatim.

He blocks the waterfowl dance after swapping to a different shield. My theory is it’s something with Barricade Shield on it.

So I have this weird thing that happens with boss fights where sometimes the summon tombstone appears and other times it doesn’t. I cannot for the life of me figure out what is different between encounters.

For example, right now I’m trying to kill Fire Giant. I run from Church of Repose without fighting anything, full FP, etc, traverse the mist and sometimes tombstone, other times no tombstone.

This has happened to me for most of the game and I cannot figure out the rhyme or reason for this shit. I mostly have to rely on no summons because it’s so unreliable and I’d say I’ve fought the majority of bosses Dark Souls melee style /gotgudflex

But wtf?

Also, I fucking love this game more than any other game I’ve played in a LONG time. You heard it here first: Elden Ring contender for top 10 game of 2022!!!

My main playthrough is mostly on pause while the wife and I co-op side by side on our bedroom PS4 Pros. One thing I am learning is how much the biggest enemy in this game is the camera. I mean other FROM games had this issue worse, but its still a thing in ER. Specifically, I have done co-op and solo on Margit and Godrick previously with the fight just blowing up in my face, despite knowing all the reads. This time, being able to coordinate with my wife verbally and minimal initial tactics discussion, we one shotted Margit for both of our plays. Godrick I one shotted and then we two shotted it for her. Simply being able to see her distant view on her screen to know what jump shit he was doing and for her getting verbal warnings from me on the same when she would wizard agro him made the fights way easier. I swear outside of the turbo spaz rush of some enemies, the camera angles keeping you in the dark is the biggest bullshit difficulty in the game. And my wife may not be "gettin gud", but she is dodging shit I would struggle with largely because her double wand swinging ass has to. Meanwhile I am using bleed daggers more and more just to pull aggro off of her. But the game really shines like this. Not sure how she will handle the later difficulty spikes, though.

Anyhow on my main play, one shotted Morgott and ghost of whats his face. Also broomed Volcano manor and, after using the spear, pretty much smoked Rydak or whatever his name is. Just have to figure where to place these great runes and finish exploring the capitol. I also cannot get that barbarian bitch and the duke guy to move to the throne room, no matter what I do. Broken quest I guess. And I am not going to lie, I am leaning heavily on MLGS shooty and fly cloud spam in a lot of these areas. I make no appologies for it, because I am bored of spending 5 minutes on single dogs who feint and chew me a new asshole due to bugged hitboxes if I guess wrong, along with similar bullshit. Its not the difficulty (usually) that makes me cheese, its the tedium

If you have the furlcalling remedy active, I believe it shuts off bell usage. Regardless of whether you’ve actually summoned a cooperator.
