Yeah new Bloodborne would be amazing but I'll settle for anything single player and non-AC. I did enjoy the earlier Armored Core games, but I actually would still choose Kings Field before AC at this point; I'm a FromSoft addict for sure.
I loved ac6. The megalithic world was awesome, backdrops were amazing, combat was great, story good. Solid gaming experience.

I'd kill for some more Bloodborne but Sony doesn't seem to want to do anything with the franchise.
Me too, but it wouldn’t surprise me if we first see a remake of Bloodborne as a PS6 launch title, like they did with Demon’s Souls on the PS5.

Sony has such a good stable of 1st party stuff that they continually fuck up. I’ve still enjoyed my ps5 for ease of use and gaming on my home theater setup.

Scholars isn't a remaster though. It was an enhanced edition that came out basically a year after the dlc trilogy to package all the DLC and add a couple new things.

Don't get me wrong, I hope I'm wrong. But I feel it's a good chance.

Maybe even just release it as Dark Souls Trilogy edition even and add ds3 to the mix.
I think you could argue it is a "remaster". I would anyways.

I would call Scholar more of, A Team Fixing B Teams shit.

Not really a remaster, more of a re-packing of the overall game.

Still plan to try it at some point, if for nothing else other than to give them a sale....I think the last one I played was on Ps2 but I could be wrong.

Got an issue with multiplayer on PS5. Friend and I are trying to co-op Stormveil Castle on our new characters (his first time through the game, I started a n00b to also play the beginning) and neither of us can get a summon sign to show up for the other. We're both outside the main gate, neither has gone through the dungeon yet. We also tried summoning at a different dungeon that neither had cleared yet and it didn't work there either.

We're using a password, we both used that consumable that makes summon signs appear, and just nada. He's level 62 and I'm level 48, which google says is within range.

Weird thing is, my level 197 character dropped a summon sign in the same place and it appeared for him right away / let him summon me so I could drop some loot (mostly cosmetic stuff and consumables, don't want to ruin the game).

TLDR: My level 62 friend (who hasn't beaten Stormveil) can summon my level 197 character (who has beaten Stormveil), but can't summon my level 48 character (who hasn't beaten Stormveil) or vice versa.

Can you only be summoned to dungeons you've cleared, meaning one of us has to do it without the other? Only thing I can think of. Edit: Nope, tried summoning him to a dungeon he's cleared and I haven't, still nothing.

EDIT: Problem solved

Certain boss kills turn off summoning for an area. The host needs to not have killed the trigger boss. For main stormveil, I’m not sure what the trigger is, possibly the stupid worm in the basement? Maybe the knight on the outside edge?

If either of you still hasn’t killed Godric, you should be able to summon to his door… maybe…

FromSoft multiplayer is pants on head retarded annoying clown shit. So frustrating.

They really just need to make true multiplayer in their games. Make it raise enemy HP and damage and be done with it. Who gives a shit if it makes the game easier. I say this as someone who wouldn’t even play multiplayer. Their approach to it is fucking stupid.

Yeah, ER would be perfect if it just let people play through it co-op if they want to. My friend has done pretty much everything himself for the first 12 hours of the game (and made serious progress for someone who has never played a Fromsoft game before) and we just wanted to co-op some dungeons for the hell of it, and even just that has to be a pain in the ass.

Never figured it out. Neither of us did anything in Stormveil at all, so we were in the same exact boat, and neither could summon the other.

What makes no sense is that he can summon my level 197 character but not my level 48 character that is MUCH closer to his level.

So I could run him through the dungeon with a ringer character that trivializes everything, but we can't do a normal two-player run with appropriate-level characters that would actually be fun.

Also, we both have the same weapon (Carian Knight's Sword +5) which is the highest weapon either of us has, so it isn't a weapon level issue either.

EDIT: Problem solved

Problem solved, when checking the two files for setting discrepancies this morning, I noticed one file had a password on it and the other one didn't. I would think that the summon sign still should have worked even without the password, for two similar-leveled players standing next to each other in the world, but I guess not. Do passwords mean you can only be summoned by someone else who has the same password on? Hopefully that doesn't block non-passworded people from showing up as summon signs.

Should I delete the password entirely when not doing specific multiplayer? Maybe this is why I hardly ever see summon signs ingame anymore on my main, but saw a lot on my un-passworded new character. I assumed that was because my level was higher.

Was under the impression that passwords were mainly for summoning someone who is outside of your level range. Though admittedly I've done very little multiplayer outside of occasionally summoning random folks at boss doors.

WTB a simple/convenient opt-in/out two-player mode because I'm too old for this password stuff

If you set a password, only people with the same password can summon or be summoned by you. Its main purpose is to be able to specifically choose who you play with, the level range thing is secondary to that.

When you put down a summon sign, it doesn't go out to every other Elden Ring player in the world within your level range. If it did, the ground would be covered in nothing but summon signs.

You're very unlikely to see a buddy's sign without a password

Interdasting. So I should only have a password on while trying to co-op with that one friend, and turn it off the rest of the time.

Too bad it doesn't block invasions, we get invaded literally every 3-5 minutes while we're hanging out and it gets annoying quick.

Unfortunately invasion griefers are just how it is. The best advice I can give is to always have a way to cheese them based on what level you are. Assuming no twinking going in, the best option for early levels is going to be a plain old club or the estoc handaxe combo. Mid levels, the scythes and bladed spear (especially in pairs) counter the typical gankers, plus some flame toss in there if you like. Higher levels, any spammy magic where the other guy can run down the opponent with stance breaking weapons will do the trick.

Back when my wife and I did the game together, she was a sorcery character with the stars spell and I was a katana guy with enough faith to cast the multi shot holy bomb. Gankers would often disconnect almost immediately after the first volley of robotech missiles launched. Two coordinated players with an actual set PvP plan should always trump one ganker in the game. It is harder if you are both bunga, but then thats on you to have a weapon for that situation and know the moves and frame data.

Have cleared everything in Shadow of the Erdtree that I've found, except Bayle and Radahn. As we can see here, I can still barely even scratch Bayle. Using +25 Keen Backhand Blades with S tier Dex scaling and it's still chip damage. Unreal. Going to have to go back to 2x Blood Curved Swords (the most effective weapons I've found in this game) to actually do any real damage, most likely.

All of that said, I'm still missing quite a bit of Scadutree Fragments (at 11 and 6, which I suspect is pathetic for going up against Bayle and Radahn).

I have this entire northeastern area that I haven't found a way to get to yet, if anyone wants to tell me how. I was hoping I'd get to go north after beating Messmer, but nope. Guessing most of my missing fragments are up here, along with whatever else I haven't cleared dungeon-wise.

Bayle, what an absolutely insane fight. Totally worthy of the title of "superboss" alongside Radahn. Had a much tougher time with this than Malenia even.

Look at the HP remaining on all the meters, and look at the complete lack of heals remaining. Just a hell of a fight.

Why are there two lady-boys fighting a giant monster? Do you always play a female-ish character?

You like staring at your male characters ass for 300 hours?

Kinda gay
I don't know if you're trying to be ironic, but that's what some of my friends who I played MMOs over the years always use as their stupid excuse as to why they're playing a girl.

We just laugh at them and make fun but they're still our friends, doesn't mean you can't call em fags and then laugh about it. You're playing a goddamn game designed for men, play as a God damn man and don't be a fag...
