EQ Never

I have always disliked Bioware games, all of them, and swtor was the worst MMO I have ever played. Sure there have been others that perhaps were more buggy or less ambitious or whatever, but factoring in the budget as well as the blown potential, its by far the worse. Most overrated game developer ever. Makes SoE look like professionals.

Can I be a forum douche and preface my point to avoid backlash:

I have never participated in trading card games (Pokemon etc)

a Pokemon-like card game embedded in EQN would be awesome. Collect rare cards and battle them maybe simplified MTG style and there's your "gems" ingame subgame.
SOE has this for EQ and EQII already. And you can win, trade loot cards(or get them from packs you buy) that give you mounts, illusions, pet illusions etc for your in-game character. I easily seem then transferring it over to EQ:N. All done in game, look up Legends of Norrath(think that was the name).

One thing tad could ask at SOE Live.

Of course the downside to the TCG was all the cool mounts and illusions were not in game and only gotten via the card game and of course super rare(though you could win them through tournaments).

Swag bag was a bust though maybe the Dragons Prophet themed Purell will prove useful.

Also sorry Draegen, shitty internet even on phone doubt I can do anything live during any reveal/panel fortunately for the reveal there's the tv. But I will see about answering those questions.

I will add that Legends of Norrath is a surprisingly enjoyable card game, even if you only have crappy cards like I do.

Mate don't understand the Dragons Prophet Purell will be useful what do you mean?

From what I saw of Dragons Prophet it was a trainwreck.

Wildstar certainly seems cool and I love the sense of humour that they are interjecting into the whole thing so I really cannot fault them for their efforts to date.

That having been said Wildstar is not Everquest. Everquest, for me, has a gravitas to it that nothing can quite duplicate. I can still rattle off the names of the primary gods : Rodcet Nife, Tunare, Rallos Zek, Veeshan, Solusek Ro, Prexus, Mithanial Marr, Erolisi Marr, Quellious, Karana, Bertoxullous, Innoruk, Cazic-Thule. Each of these immediately pops images and memories into mind from over a decade ago. Feelings of anticipation and accomplishment that much more polished games since have never been able to replicate.

To people who did not play EverQuest when it first came out or who never played it this probably sounds totally bonkers, but to me MMORPG = Everquest.

God damn I hope they didnt fuck this up.

I've barely played EQ1 and that isn't too bonkers. I'm the same way with Warcraft, and at some point got far too wrapped up in Warcraft lore in general, haha. I think it was the only reason that kept me playing WoW past TBC is to see where they were going next.

That said, never really getting to explore Norrath as much as I should have, I'm excited to start new with everyone else. (even if they won't invite me to group for not playing EQ :p)

Talisman indeed and there was still remnants left in Everquest as of the 10th anniversary a few years ago. I haven't been back since then, there were a few of us who played World of Warcraft and then all of us who then went to Rift actually got sucked into FoH.

www.talismanguild.orgseems to still point to something, but it was last updated it seems 3 years ago
