Good servers won't come from them and never have. When they die, the people working for free in their basement can do infinitely better. Maybe some day we will get another Blizzard Entertainment or Verant again and one that won't sell out.

For me the problems on Oakwynd and Teek put the issue beyond the quality of any particular rule set. Log in, missing krono, have to petition, gotta try to convert the plat I get back in to krono, parcel system is eating items during prime time, more petitions, bleh. Oakwynd had it's economy nuked and then didn't fix legacy exp not applying to AAs for like a month. Vaniki ran out of encounters you could even complete during each unlock cycle.
If I ever show up to another TLP to do anything other than screw around and it becomes a trainwreck I'm not going to have anyone to blame but myself.

I honestly love all the core concepts of fangbreaker. Luclin leveling, fighting stuff a bit underpowered, zone variance that breaks the typical meta, it's all fantastic in concept.
The fact that they managed to bundle it and bungle it so fucking badly is kind of impressive really. It took a rather impressive level of idiocy to fuck up as bad as fangbreaker is fucked up.

Just do a normal tlp with those hotzones and the whole low level thing for 1 week per expac launch only, no longer. That's probably all thats needed. It can be slapped on a normal phinny clone ruleset, on an aradune restricted boxing or a rizlona mass boxing, on a mischief random and free trade, or on something else or something new.
Just don't do this weird overly long toil length in the weakened/underleveled state. A week, maybe 2 at most, and then let things be normal.

Hotzone mechanic was super fun leveling up. Got 50 and immediately quit though because Luclin continues. Kinda agree with the general sentiment that I may not be playing TLP at all moving forward, but hotzone mechanic is a winner and they should 100% keep using it

They totally shot themselves in the foot with the 2box rule. They not only catered to the casuals, but they literally told the boxers to fuck off and then they blame THJ for their failure when they put out a ruleset that everyone told them was a terrible idea.
The only reason the server has a "decent" population, numbers wise, is because half of the population is just bots lol. If the bots all quit, the server would be perma low population.

Taking part of Vaniki (mob resists, item level requirements) plus part of Oakwynd (legacy characters, encounter locking) and throwing them on to the Expanded Start feature where the level cap at launch is 50 but you spend two-hundred and fifty-three days in Luclin but hey there's also the Resource Hunter thing of totally random bonuses that don't apply to raid instances results in a server that isn't really for anyone. It didn't help Fangbreaker that Teek was popular. A lot of people went super hard on Teek and were not going to immediately recycle. Some who played on the last couple batches ended up with a bad taste in their mouth over missing krono or halfbaked rulesets.
All I want is gd server that stops at velious for longer than a few weeks. Velious is peak EQ Classic to me and if they ever had the gumption to hire competent developers, they could remaster EQ and keep the first two expacs and go a more sane route and it would be gd glorious.

Almost all of them stop in velious for more then a few weeks. If you want to spend forever in velious go play a EMU like p99.
