You are way out of touch if you think gen chat is a good barometer for guild recruiting. Only failed family guilds and that dumbfuck rapers guild use in game chat to recruit. When did you last play? There are a handful of real guilds recruiting in the discord.
I havent hit 50 yet and see tons of people grouping and asking for a group.
Half the server is in the bonus zones and the other half are in the usual spots, and thats a problem? Where do you want them to be? Your nebulous third option of grind spots?

Logged in right now as prime time starts, and there are a total of 7 people under level 15 lfg, spread across 6 zones. That is not conducive to grouping at all. That's your idea of "tons of people", is it?

I dont think LFG is a good indicator. I have not found a group on this server from using LFG. All my groups have come from me running to zones/camps and asking if they have room. Ive been invited pretty much every time. Seems like people are avoiding chat channels like the plague due to bot spam.

Being spread out at low levels is an issue on every new server. The world is bigger but you also have the nexus portals. And personas to hack travel if you want to spend the extra $20. If you think extra travel time isn't worth it for 300% xp bonuses, you aren't gonna enjoy this server.
At low levels you can also solo or run a small group and get max xp per kill (8+% with a 25% pot) so I bet a good chunk of players are just soloing longer or forming small groups on the fly.
It's not as poppin' as previous TLPs but it's still pretty active. I'm lvl 45 or 46 now and see lots of grouping and picks in bonus zones.

Yeah have not had any issues finding groups and because outdoor zones are viable for once, a suboptimal group can work. Had some great fun with a necro, a druid, a wizard and a cleric. Just kiting and dotting/nuking. Beats sitting in guk for the 20th time and the group falling apart when the tank or enchanter leaves.

I'm mostly bored of it already and im only like 42, but i think thats just my own interest in EQ being gone for the most part. I still really like the resource hunter mechanic, I've never even been to the scarlet desert before but grouping there and getting good exp was sick
But also fuck that zone, the aliens have like random death touch levels of damage where they'll hit you randomly for 600+ when a caster has fuckin 800 hps its wild

Formed a good group in Echo and then decided to go to Iceclad near the tower due to it being a hot zone.

They seem to have given up on TLPs at least, haven't seen them make a serious effort for a while, orginally they made Convicted Rapiers back on like Phinny or something, but a GM nixxed that pretty quick so they renamed to Bloody Rapiers, might have had a guild or 2 on other servers as well following the Rapier theme.

I think they did most servers between Phinny and Mischief. They might have done one on Yelinak but I don’t remember any afterwards.
