Having tons of options makes for a bad poll unless you have weighted votes or some nonsense. You'll have pure shit like rf/lj unlocks winning with 22% or whatever because the majority of players who don't want that are split 8 other ways.

Have the option for standard, faster than standard, or slower than standard. If faster or slower win, have a followup vote between the respective options. If they win with <50% it's a win for standard.

I’ve also had three separate people tell me they’re doing a classic server and THJ server that Secrets and maybe Rogean are involved in making with them.

As long as they are not released at the same time sounds promising.

Any word if they plan to do them months apart or if they plan to do the next tlp earlier than normal?

I would actually come back if they did a THJ server. That would be fun for a while. That is something different even if it is still kind of the same.

One thing I would like them to add is a 1 active/1 passive ability per class that gets unlocked by having a class at max level in retail on the account.

I'd play a THJ server, just because I never got to. Since I am already paying a sub for teek, doing that on the side if its a solo based server like THJ was would be fun. Could even 2 box at the worst and see how interesting it could be. At least they were smart enough to 3rd party it , if true. Because I would have zero trust in dbg itself doing it right.

Do the guild + raiding thing on teek and play a thj style server for solo fun mix/matching.

Pass on classic, hell anything up to pop is just so over done(probably because I just did it) but I get its very popular with all the crazies that will run classic >pop over and over, until they die.

They really need to fix certain classes for certain eras. Beastlords are garbage until lvl 90+, casters are terrible during lvl 70’s, except maybe necro?

paladins could use something like a rework of slay undead or lower level version of fake-reptile for lower levels.

mage pets should be able to tank in gates until they absolutely can in seeds

etc

Lethar looks interesting to me.

TSS start I've always thought would be a good TLP to play on. I've done enough Unrest and Lower Guk to last me a lifetime, let me level in the new zones and pick up gear and augs as I go. It's also not TOO far in that people get overwhelmed by all the buttons, eg Miragul.

Personal loot sounds interesting too (pending details on implementation).

Its what someone said earlier though. Several of the key options are splitting the votes. Some basically have 3 options which are similar and then 1 option which is not. The 1 option that does not split the vote is winning in multiple polls.

If FV loot isn't winning by 90 points the polls are faker and gayer than usual.

Life support is fine, most of the game we play was made 20+ years ago by better devs, we just need them to keep the lights on and fix the occasional bug, we work the rest out amongst ourselves mostly.

Be nice if they would fix more older bugs but it is what it is.

I'd say that this is fine because the person reading the poll can interpret the results, but some of the decisions they've made around server rules to predictable ruin make me hesitate to give them the benefit of the doubt.




Anyway, I love that they are polling the community and hope they also use the CRC to help make decent rules while also making rules that aren't popular in forum quest but have a proven track record of success. An example would be not making the same Mischief clone every time.

I'd also recommend a small selection of these polls be given to the playerbase using the existing polling system in the game.
