There were even people that played 1 char on rizlona and had a good time. They'd just group with friends who did box, and maybe do the pulling or whatever, since even with stuff like fartaunt its handy to have someone focused on it. Or doing all the spot heals. Whatever.

Hopefully a bunch of devs secretly hate tlps and are actively trying to ruin this one by only having 1 server and forcing the year until pop ends. I say hopefully because the only other option is they're dumb.

MQ2 will be "enabled" by the people who develop it, but it won't be "permitted" by DBG. It's a weird Stockholm Syndrome sort of thing for people who box larger amounts(12+). We're all really excited for a boxing server, while also knowing since it's the only server this may there will be plenty of single character playing people who play the new TLP every year mass reporting any boxers that there will be ban wave after ban wave on this server.

I agree with what a lot of other people are saying, just give us 2 servers like Aradune/Rizlona - it worked out well for everyone. While there were some ban waves on Rizlona we were largely left alone, and all the people that played 1 character happily just went to Aradune.
Yep. And there will be a lot of salty anti boxers who believe the vote was rigged by a small number of megaboxers and go to war against anyone they think uses MQ2.

Can you stop pretending. There was 500 more votes in the boxing thread with 100s of new accounts logging in for the first time and joining the to only vote in that thread without posting or visiting other threads, while the mods were telling people to do this.

But don't worry those same Karen boxers are going all fight over open world mobs and when they lose they're going to cry and mass report each other, just like they did on Rizlona.

What do you think I am pretending? I have no position on the truthiness of the vote, only that the server will be as dangerous for MQ2 users as Ikkan Ikkan said.

It's obvious the vote was manipulated by boxers to make no truebox win.

Single players can't really mass report you. Mass reporting is when you report someone multiple times for the same thing. If you open multiple tickets for the same thing as a single player DBG well ignore you and threaten to suspended you for spamming the system.

Boxers CAN mass report you by simply copy pasting and reporting you on multiple accounts.

To be fair, I'm not a big boxer and I only logged in to vote for no truebox (and pro-pvp for Aeth). I feel like this server will see some increase in people running a second character and maybe a third box since it's more accessible, but really the people who aren't 6+ boxing aren't normally stopped because of truebox. I'd think this server would be safer for the boxers because the class of autistic rule followers that would normally be reporting boxers for contending with their 'camp', won't have a 'legal' argument anymore.

What's the basis for MQ2 being dangerous? It never has been in the past unless you use particularly egregious/aggressive functions.

There are tons of stories like:
I got hit on Fangbreaker for what I can only imagine was MQ2 that was on disk due to one of those goofy emu servers that packaged a version for automating alts (FV Project or something?). At least that's what I assume since otherwise I've only ever used GINA/EQ NAG. I appealed and they said it was appropriate but only accounts that were on that PC were hit. I never even ran the damn thing with the official client that I'm aware of.
Where people who have nothing to benefit from lying about why they got banned claim to have either used MQ2 innocuously or not even use it but have it installed. It's obfuscated by there being a LOT of these reports whenever a ban wave happens with people probably trying to find a way to get unbanned, but some (Like xmod2's post) are almost certainly true.

DPG does spurious stuff all the time. They'll let a dupe exploit destroy a server's economy for weeks, and they'll also execute a ban wave out of the blue that hits people who haven't logged in for a while. There are industrial-grade botters that operate indefinitely on new servers and people claim to be harassed by GMs if they report them, while casual dads checking out MQ2 get banned. If you talk about any of this on EQ's official channels, your messages will get deleted by community managers who aren't even getting a cut of the botting racket.

So yeah, use MQ2 at your own risk.

Just from what ive seen in reddit/forum searches seems like they've been more aggressive over the past couple years banning people that are using mq2, even on live servers. This is subjective, but i dont remember reading this kind of stuff last time i was using it.
