My guess is it will be a large net increase to total loot volume per kill with a full raid. Its probably more of a big nerf to small manning / split raiding.

Server is crazy fun. I got my crew up to 42 so far because Regime Regime told me he'd report me to ICE if I didn't roll up some boxes.

The server is pretty fun. Regime Regime talked me into trying it, and picked an sk/shm/ber. Leveling has been fast because of the 4th of July event and the regular bonus xp rotation. The bonus rotation has me spending some time with personas as well since if you catch a a good newbie bonus zone, you can get over that 1-20 hump pretty quick.

Live exp rate, no truebox and explains personal loot

The items given to each player are not always the same, nor do they always match the NPC's normal loot.

Additionally, all equippable or useable items are given the Attunable flag, making them attuned the first time the item is equipped or used, and all class/race/deity requirements on items are removed.

Seems weird as fuck to make it random and removes restrictions?

Releasing 3 new servers in a 3 month time span is a great way to cannibalize your playerbase.

This has got some real merit for next year when coupled with a traditional TLP. Generating bonus loot that all has the Attunable flag plus has no restrictions on who can use it is a fucking crazy slot machine lever to get to pull each raid. Attunable is also tradeable so you could be raiding, kill Vulak and get an all/all Abashi's Rod of Disempowerment. Do you keep it and add a unique ability to your class or do you sell it to pay for this month's rent on your double wide?

With Frostreaver having every kind of sweetener enabled I wasn't sure where else there was to go on these servers but something like this could really get the degens on board.

It needs to be opaque as well and not generate "so and so has looted X batshit crazy item." If everyone sees what you get and it's tradeable that's a drama factory in multiple directions at once.

Yeah, the personal loot with a little bit of Mischief flavor has the opportunity to really pop off if they iterate on it.

Them trashing true box has also been one of their best ideas. It has me paying for 3 accounts, whereas I probably just wouldn't play otherwise. This game doesn't have the player base to maintain true box and the "box armies" see it has nothing but a speed bump anyways.

Maybe its me, but to me a lot of EQ TLP players just dont like later expansions. Things that start in expansions such as this(tss) rarely do well(if at all?). Seems like a odd choice to throw in just a few months after a new one released. A big majority just love to play the same expansions over and over again(usually classic to pop but sometimes up to omens), as asinine as that is to me personally.

I am curious if there will be another once I am done with teek that will draw me in. I am not sure what they can throw in that would make it interesting again. Fast leveling just means I start raid logging faster(and its great for a more casual play). Who knows maybe teek will be the last one I do. They are doing a fine job dragging the death of this game way out.

Kind of true for all old mmos with lots of expansions. WoW Classic certainly can attest to that.

I've still got PTSD from Ragefire but as long as encounter locking is in place it's not a deal breaker for me to have boxing enabled. Without dps racing the boxer crew's ability to throw their weight around is kept in check and people are just generally better behaved without the temptation existing in the first place.
