Studio Behind EVE Online Goes Independent, Rebrands as Fenris Creations, Enters Research Partnership with Google DeepMind

Alongside this transition, Fenris Creations is entering into a research partnership with Google DeepMind, focused on advancing understanding of intelligence in complex, dynamic systems. The collaboration will explore areas including long-horizon planning, memory, and continual learning, using EVE Online as a uniquely rich environment for study. Google DeepMind will work with an offline version of EVE Online running on a local server to test and evaluate models in a controlled setting. Together, the partnership will also explore new gameplay experiences enabled by these technologies.

Many of those PvP MMO’s have the same or similar lifespan as their PvE counterparts.

I’m not sure why this shit irritates some people so much. If there wasn’t a market for sandbox PvP then no one would ever attempt it.

Eve has a new region of 50+ systems that are 100& non pvp for new players and allows players who are friends in real life to start in the same area.

Jita 4-4 the biggest market no longer belongs to Caldari. It's Edoncom/Concord or whatever it is now. Too much bitching of people with low standings who don't use an insta warp ship apparently. Caldari faction is still needed for discounts on the market though. Crazy shit.

Kinda feel like I got out at the right time. New player system would have probably been good decades ago, now it really doesn't matter.

And the CEO is still on his crypto shit. Would not surprise me some expansion or spin off game was just people mining for the company lol. I watched a few minutes of the Eve fanfest stream last week, bit nothing burger. T2 carriers which have the same jump range as T1 and will cost much more.

Never mind. I'm tired - edit-

I could see them disguising bit coin or similar as an eve coin and using peoples own computers to mine in that sense.
