Perky has been cool. It took a while to get rolling, but I am fully hooked atm. About to do rebirths on my primary guys. I get the impression it plays very differently than THJ at the high end, but the gear is in many ways a lot more interesting.

Ya, lots of fun stuff to do in Perky between alt epic, rebirths, hard mode gauntlet.

Both Perky and Ascendant are very fun servers, lots to do.

HMG gear is supposed to be tradeable soon I hear. If that ends up being true all my toons will be rocking that shit within a week or two.

Perky is fun till you get through the rebirths/AA and get decent/good gear. For me it got stale at that point. I lose interest pretty easily these days though. Still a good server. Been playing Ascendant for a few days now. So far, it seems more fun than perky ever was. Definitely a slower pace. I also feel like I'm seeing more of Norrath since you can pretty much grind plat anywhere. VS having 1-2 zones that drop cash items and everything else vendoring for pennies.

Ascendant is slower paced and much more challenging than Perky. For me perky lost all enjoyment after about 3-4 hours, once you hit lvl 35 and go to MMM and get 300k pp an hour from vendor drops and then buy 350/19 weapons and 1k hp all/all in every slot after 30 minutes of farming everything is trivial and there's no point.

On ascendant I just started up playing a wizard for the first time ever, played an enchanter before back in Kunark era but that's the only int caster i've ever done. definitely different but they've buffed casters a bit and wizard seems pretty strong now, as long as I can cast without getting interrupted. this is just leveling idk how they are doing in raids.

They’ve been steadily buffing wizards to try and close the melee gap. The latest is a buff that procs and causes your crits to do much more dmg…14k sunstrike crits now sometimes crit for 25k.

I only remember seeing the one caster buff patch has there been more? Changes to spell dmg, total AA scaling dmg bonus and the wiz only overload crit thing was the one patch I saw.

Well I guess it may have been a different patch but the interrupt AA I guess is also new? That really helps with swarming, only lvl 56 but im now able to face tank hard ldons a few hallways at a time, usually 4-5 pulls per ldon depending on layout. I know better geared/AAd players are able to one pull whole dungeons. Not me yet but hopefully one day.

For raids only done a few dragons so far but wizard feels tankier than rogue lol. I think its just cus of the constant heals from sympathetic healing free AA you get at lvl 1 but it feels more reliable than totc procs, even though both are rng, idk.

Started a BST on Ascendant and got up to 60. The spell damage on pet bag items really does a lot for damage until mobs are read con and begin resisting your pet. I think they take the pet's level in to account for resists, but not 100% sure. Right now got 2 flint daggers in pet bag and with +spell damage I'm doing about 1252 dmg per proc when it is not resisted. I may switch over to maelstrom since those are probably unresistable procs. Doing normal LDoN runs I plow through them super fast, but a Hard slows way down due to resistant mobs.

I've solo'd the Kunark dragons at 1300 aa. About 3 or 4 ranks of ToTC and paly heal proc (whatever its called). Combined with celestial heal and a heal totem makes it pretty easy to kill stuff at that level. I am probably going to be trying the Velious stuff next. I'm not sure which class books are my top priority outside of the passive attack aa's from monk, ranger, and then paly/sk stuff. Wizard spell crit is also nice. Augs I have no idea on which ones I need to target farm but that is probably my next big research thing. Its fun so far and I think BST was a decent option. SK, Monk, Rogue all of those seem like would be good starter classes to build on, maybe even mage / necro, although a lot of fun stuff would be not as beneficial on the pure pet classes imo. (but I hear mage epic pet really slams)

I just did all the kunark and velious dragons at 57 and 800 AA on my wizard. Trakanon was the hardest just due to him, his entire room of golems plus tolapumj all aggro'd as I was approaching the bridge so wasn't even ready for that fight. I basically died to his poison DOT as I was AOEing down the golems. I ran back when it was just trak, prot, and tolapumj left and finished them off. Could not figure out how to split pull.

After i got 2nd charm I went ahead and did all the velious dragons plus ran around WW killing extra dragons/roamers/etc.

Was gonna try statue to unlock 3rd charm but i somehow aggro'd like 15 things when I was crossing the bridge towards vindicator and died, was too tired to start over so just logged off.

I can definitely use more healing AAs as well as more defensive ones and once I can get shaman slow at 60 I think lots of fights will get easier.

Wizard definitely is a money maker because I don't need 90% of the books that drop, i've sold over 150k plat worth of tomes so far. really only holding on to enchanter, cleric, shaman, and wizard tomes for now but i'll start keeping an eye out for more like bard and anything else with a defensive/heal type of AA. but being able to skip all the melee focused AND pet focused AAs has allowed me to make enough plat to really focus on gear.

Also does anyone know if the golem in fear for wizard epic is immune to magic? getting conflicting reports, guides say you can use fire dmg/low resist lure but /ooc say's hes immune and to bring melee friends. He's all I got left for epic.

If you want some help hit me up in game (Vesarious) if I'm on. Still working on gear as well. One more piece of ldon and then off to find jewelry.

Just killed Woushi and Kelorek Dar very easy, so was feeling all full of myself. Went to fight Klandicar and he beat me like a red headed step child.

nah the only AA that uses mana is mana burn/blaze/blast/etc from wiz.

Warrior has nearly as high skill caps as monk and they get to use every weapon and not worry about wt limits, plus all the defensive stuff. they are actually really really strong you just need a fuck ton of tomes. rage of rallos zek isn't available yet til later expansion so they aren't insane burst yet but they are overall really solid.

I rolled a warrior. Am I screwed for late game without mana?
war are in a good spot. divine avatar + rabid bear is the big dps CD, add in destructive force for massive aoe potential. touch of the cursed is big too for survivability.

lots of other aa too - late game def takes alot of aa and tomes.
