EQ Live/TLP/EMUs has been the same 2-3k players for the last 20 years.
THJ brought in tens of thousands of players, mostly former EQ players, back to the game who hadn't even thought of EQ since WoW.
They are trying to capture / measure that revenue stream and not muddle it with krono.
They are hoping that the "joy" of the game over comes the fact that 99% of the players of THJ absolutely hate their fucking guts for destroying THJ and blame them, DBG, but also Secrets, for ruining it.
There in lies the rub. Sure a few thousand of the THJ players were regular EMU/TLP players, who'll probably come crawling back like the DV victim they are, and they are the ones who are upset/mad about the seperate sub/can't use krono, etc.
The players they are trying to capture aren't battered wives with trauma responses and won't go back to the people who spit in their eye so they aren't going to capture any extra revenue streams from this.
Ergo they may as well let the players playing this use Krono, because people who already buy krono are the only ones who would play this shittier version of THJ being ran by a kid diddling tranny faggot. They are already a captive audience and not letting them use the krono or their All Access pass to play is just going to hurt your player numbers ie number of bags you sell for this server in your cash shop
