Aren't the features of Frostweaver just things they've done before but lots of them? Can Velious BST/BER really be that big of a ball buster? The polls were months ago.

Just one of his many posts recently that tell us as of a few weeks ago there are still tasks in progress that they are making no promises will be completed.

Frostreaver def gonna have a ton of random shit not ready.

This is why EQL got handed to the team it did. The EQ team at Daybreak can't keep up as it is.

Here's the problem, you can find here on these very forums a post from Secrets themselves with a mile long list of things they thought were wrong with THJ. If you read this list it clearly establishes that many of the things that made THJ great were not seen as a positive from Secrets perspective. In my opinion the success of THJ was something that Secrets did not understand and resented.

So we all thought we were getting a natural and official successor/improved version of THJ and that was a completely fair assumption when EQL was announced and multiclassing was the key feature announcement. The EQL team is simply not going to disabuse you of those assumptions because in doing so would lessen the hype.

The fact remains, and as I have said for weeks on here, this is not going to feel anything like THJ, and anyone who was hoping it would is going to be MASSIVELY disappointed.

Can you even call this a rug pull if you see it coming a hundred miles away?

So I know everyone is saying they basically wanted a THJ 2.0. What about THJ made you want to replay it? I was close to Zeb when THJ shut down, so I had already done enough farming (UP, DN, PoN caves) I really had no desire to re-level a new character and go through the planar progression again. If you were working your way through PoP or previous expacs I get wanting to be able to complete it. For those that were farming Zeb were you keen to just re-roll and try a new class combo?

I had 4 characters going in parallel that we were replaying through the game on, its was super high replayability.

We also had been actively waiting on the hardcore mode for THJ that we had gotten a few previews of. It was basically ready to go but wasn't being released because of the lawsuit putting things on pause. They had successfully prevent trading between normal/hardcore characters and there was going to be bazaar separate between those two modes as well. they were also working on a leaderboard players could climb/compete on at the endgame.

There's a lot of a reasons that there was going to be a lot more content to come from THJ without it ever needing to be a THJ 2.0.

EQL isn't THJ 1.0, 2.0 or even in the same universe as THJ. People who loved THJ will be upset if they expect this to have THJ vibes going in. This is just something coimpletely different.

This is me. I could care less about his personal life, do what the fuck you want. But don't bring your politics into a video game. That along with his professional history with EQ is the main worry with him. This and it costing a box + separate sub are my hangs up. In the end though, IF and its its a big IF, it ends up being done well and its fun, I could see myself trying it. Probably something that doesn't last past a month max(like an arpg) but who knows. Sadly it could do all the right things and the devs still kill it by mismanagement. History is not on their side.

From what we can tell, it was in fact him. As such, the last thing any forum like P1999 or FoH wants is to have LEO's crawling up their ass about it.
I doubt it will come to that, but still.

Like I say: crazy people are inherently dangerous. It's not a joke that I'm trying to keep them out of here once they are identified. This is the kind of thing that can happen.
