If you're interested in the game I'd just block Mrniceguy right now. If you want to know more just look his post history in the DPG vs THJ thread. He's big buttmad at DPG for probably deleting his Krono'd MQ2 account or something and he's just wiggling every which way to be mad.

Other people have some valid criticisms, but this guy is Nirgon level autism best left out like society has already done outside of teh interwebs.

Sir See below. Long lockouts aren't bad because not enough content. It's because they prevent you from playing at your own pace. 5x 7 day lockouts are both 2 long and too many. These aren't mutual exclusive.

WTF is this game, just watched that Verity void guy take over a minute to kill a yellow Lava Duct crawler. What's the point if your not clowning content. I remember clearing all of lower Guk with slay undead named and all, that was fun.

I don't have all the context for why there is so much negativity. I haven't played any EQ Emu servers outside of P99 and Shards of Delaya, so I'm sure I'm missing out on all kinds of drama. With that said, the videos I've seen of this so far look really promising. I'm pretty excited to go back to Norrath and enjoy it with the more limited time I have these days.

The negativity is primarily because EQL appears to be shaping up to be a worse version of an emulated server that DBG sued to close. In addition to questionable decisions that sacrifice fun, it appears to be moving toward a more grindy game in preparation for selling "Quality of Life" options to alleviate the grind they are adding in.

This section of the forum has more toxic and angry people than all the rest combined. EQ Legands isn’t their perfect version so it automatically sucks, rather than being a decent compromise for casual fun.
