Guys I like to shit on these devs, and my expectations are low, but... some of these complaints seem a little absurd? It takes forever to solo bosses on difficulty 4? So what? Theres only 5 difficulty levels and they allow groups of up to 8? If the 2nd hardest could be soloed in minimal time after minimal gear farming, that would mean there's no challenge anywhere.
As much as the game needs to be solo friendly and let dad gamers do everything, that shouldn't require every single aspect of the game be a joke only. Having the ability to crank up the difficulty and it takes a bit unless you group up doesnt seem so bad to me.

These are solo instances so no there won't be groups inside them, and the people taking 30 minutes on them have circle jerked in Sky for weeks multiquesting all of the gear to +5-10 - there is nothing left for them to farm.

Regular Hand Made Backpack is 10WR, 10 slots, and holds large. Dyed ones are 10WR, 10 Slots, and holds giant.
Didn't they specifically say they're making a solo version instance?

They have raid instances currently, and once they work out the kinks they are going to implement solo instances.

So am I retarded or just mildly retarded? People are clearing the raid instance soloing on the 2nd hardest difficulty setting after less than a month and it shouldnt be slow? Or are these solo versions and a harder group/raid version exists that is more difficult?

They can make it more difficult if they want. One of the Devs shared that they have built 2 more difficulty tiers above the current and they were not doable. The scaling was simply too hard for a full group of 8 in maxed gear (every slot was +10).
Yes, they do need it to be able to be playable by casual boomers and sweaty basement dwellers and they are almost there.

Yeah, that's pretty unfortunate. It shouldn't be that fast. There's no longevity there even if they force people to buy race/class/whatever.
I was hopeful the 1-50 process would take me a month to 6 weeks and then that much time again to get some decent gear and complete the hard difficulties.
If they have people zooming through to the end in 1-2 weeks then all the microtransactions in the world mean nothing and the monthly sub is pointless.

Got to have an actual play session. Got to 28. Money is rolling in fast and furious. Got my Symphonic Aura and Mnemonic Retention done. Having 5 BRD buffs up at all times is baller. Autopulse doesn't affect invis.

They reason people like THJ was because it was solo friendly play at your own pace. This isn't solo friendly.
People that have NLed the beta and have 10+ days /played time already, that have been chain killing increased spawn rate OW raid mobs uncontested for weeks(won't happen if the game isn't dead), effecting getting more loot per day than people will get from instanced raids in a week, are only able to kill mobs solo 1) with a Cleric, eliminating 2/3s of the potential builds 2) Really slowly, keep in mind the setup that kills Naggy in 30 mins is going to translate to killing AoW in like 2+ hours and realistically won't be possible.

Is this 30 minute kill being done with the difficulty cranked up 4 tiers and solo?
If it's a slog to do 0 or 1 difficulty content and/or requires FOTM class like cleric, sure thing, I 100% agree its a problem.
I don't think I'm being unreasonable if I say that the highest difficulty levels SHOULD either be for groups or a total slog to solo. If the stuff at "normal" difficulty can be ARPG'd through like THJ still, sounds fucking fine.

Watching streams, I am wondering who the target audience is and if they did a viability study other than 'thj made a lot of money'. Time to kill is slow and it suffers from the same problem as MnM, if you don't already know how to play EQ, you're going to have a bad time. There are too many noob traps, esoteric knowledge about spells/classes/game mechanics required to make a viable build and the game is still "stand and face a mob for 3 minutes" that is going to attract nobody. As an addict who often tries to get their other gamer friends to play EQ, I don't see anything here that is going to help in that regard. THJ was the closest we had and that had 0 cost of entry, infinite flexibility in trying out combinations, the ability to twink out a few pieces to help out, etc.
I'd imagine p99ers are going to end up 'over it' quickly since it changes too much and has mtx. TLP players are dragon chasers who will immediately leave for whatever new TLP/game comes out to get their launch fix and emu players are mostly f2p fairweather players. Without bringing in new people to the IP, what is the long term goal/prospects of the project? Add on that they gave out a ton of keys to people who might be interested and they are running out of content in the 'free trial' period, it seems like they needed to hire a bizdev guy more than a dba.

I'm going based off what someone i've raided with on previous servers told me.
The instance lockout are going to by Tier. The drops you get are based around each Tier. In T4 you get T4 items which is effectively getting 16 drops of the base item. In effect doing the lower tiers becomes worthless quickly. Effectively people will be doing like the 3 highest tiers only.

Tell us you don't have a beta key without telling us you don't have a beta key.
It is lacking a lot of polish, but it is absofuckinglutely solo friendly. Any decent grind spot is going to have gear you can work on and use while leveling. Once you hit 50 you are going to be doing that for BIS while moving up the difficulty as you get geared out. It's a fairly smooth progression, and if you are going to be doing other aliases you can keep an eye out for gear for that to build as well.
Not being able to solo everything on day one doesn't mean a game isn't solo friendly.
