Got SK to 50. Working on PAL now. BER/SK/PAL is a pretty strong build. I was able to move up to D3 and have done 10-25 in just a few hours in Befallen. Planning to do the next 10 in CT. Can just dungeon walk through it. Hit zigg, and follow sewer to Avatar. Should be able to take a 38 mob by the time I get there. Might be fun to do it like a WOW dungeon and set it to no respawns. Destroy everything on the way down to it. Should take an hour or more to do a full clear. Then take a break, and come back and do it on D4. Lguk will obviously be 35-50, because Slay Undead and Instrument of Nife.
Am interested to see what they roll out this week. Getting solo instances in Sky would be pretty huge. They are planning to remove all open world raid bosses to funnel people into solo/raid instances, which is the diametric opposite of MNM's devs. At least one of them is doing that right.

It's ALSO one month included at the $20 price. That's pretty good deal for buyers. I think they're going to be scrambling at month 2 though to add more content if they don't have some new stuff lined up quick. Still if they get 5k purchases at $20 that's probably a decent surge in revenue for DPG from Non All Access shit since every new TLP population boom to start is funded by hoarded krono.

Well, they definitely just priced themselves into direct competition with live and the TLPs. OTOH that's a good reminder for me to drop WOW sub. Not going to be playing that again any time soon.

Will be interesting to see how successful they are. I argued this with Turtle, but the 'market' for stuff like this doesn't really overlap with live. The people who play free emu tend to be either a) people who already pay for live/classic and just are ALSO doing emus or b) people who are not willing to pay for the game at all so playing on emu. In either case, the company has already converted who they can and nuking the 'free' emu is only going to incur bad PR.
The 'Frostreaver doesn't get a new xpac until October' decision seems to make more sense also, since most TLP servers can barely field people the last 4 weeks of an expansion as is (given 8 week rotation), let alone months and months of the 'same shit'. Given everything is on farm, Sleeper is awake, etc. and it's not even two weeks into the server's 18 weeks of Velious, people will be looking for something to do in the summer. I think the TLP audience overlaps with EQL audience more than say, p99 / traditional emu players, since TLP people are already used to constant restarting and enjoy the QoL of bags/xp pots/etc. They are junkies just going for a fix and less purists who will be complaining about every change that doesn't make the game ball blisteringly hard.
I do wonder what subset of THJ players will not play out of protest / desire to see EQL fail, since it's prob a 1:1 the THJ audience and the audience for this kind of wacky emu. I'm sure it'll be like pic related, but I hope there are still a few people out there with morals.
