It's a Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V of the p99 tutorial recreation. Instead a making a New tutorial explaining new mechanics, class systems, item system ect. They just did the fat lazy thing slop thing.

If they plan on bringing in new EQ players, the last thing they should do is leave in shit like the original tutorial. What's next, original marble UI and full screen book to med?

There was a shitty barely functional offline tutorial that wasn't part of the game, but came with the game. P99 recreated it years ago.

They really should have left that tutorial where it was. In the fucking trash. It's not nostalgia for the vast majority of EQ players. I landed there and assumed it was some half ass shit they came up with because I had never seen it before.

I'm not saying it's a reasonable reaction on my part but that 10 minutes or whatever I spent there really killed what little enthusiasm I had for this. Mostly just because I was thinking 'If they think this is a good idea.......".

Still, I've spent $20 on dumber shit.

There are probably a few demographics from the standpoint of a forum like this.

1.) people who haven't played eq a lot since the 90s and recently retired and don't want to pay for official TLP
