The ones I really dislike are the AA potion (pure P2W) and the 3 loadouts with $5 more for each one, for those who haven't played loadouts are extremely annoying to swap between manually and 3 is very limiting in a game with 500 combos. Those are the ones I think it will be tough to work around.

This is what concerns me, and unfortunately but, also obviously; you cannot have a decent grown-up conversation with constructive criticism on Reddit or any official forums, message boards, etc. I don't want to spend my disposable booty on something that might feel like main-lining heroin for the first time then pitter away like a stepped on bundle a couple months from now. I would rather use that money on real heroin and whores..... Also, my dope dealer doesn't mind a little constructive criticism every now and then! KRA KRA KRA

It's a 15 second cooldown that is affected by haste so mine ends up being 9ish seconds. You can also double/triple proc it on double or triple attack.

Is there a non-wizardy way to get to hateplane in this?

Also anyone have any idea what the UI element gump thing is called that has all the stances and stuff on it? I closed mine and haven't figured out how to get it back. Didn't realize they changed based on classes.

(I'm blind, it is stance bar toggle)

Spec Tower in Oasis will get you to POH from what I understand.

Yes. The fire and sword on the top of the tower. I was told sword hilt, and it worked for me. Some said the fire. Not 100% sure.

Meh, I'm getting messages from people who haven't touched EQ in years asking about it and planning what they're going to roll at release. I've said from the jump this is a layup and the biggest threat to screwing this up is their monetization decisions. It will however be a big success at launch I'm fairly certain. We live in a bubble because we spend time on an MMO forum talking about MMOs, but most people aren't going to know the monetization is stupid until the buy it and hit a wall.

Just like anything else in recent years, games gunna be popular and fun for a while then will fall off a cliff. Just how far it falls is going to heavily depend on new content cadence and getting the monetization right. They're already on the back foot because a monthly sub + micro-transactions of this type is stupid... just charge more monthly. $15 per month was set like 20 years ago

I bet a large portion of people who will play are not in the pre-order beta. Pops will go up again then steadily decline over the coming months (as new games come out and people hit 50 a few times, waiting for Kunark).

After thinking about the cash shop for a day, I've concluded that for me, it won't have any affect. Yes, it a little slimy and the main concern is how other people feel about it and how much that might tank the game.

Do they change how you get spells or do you still buy them from a vendor? I was leaning towards doing an SK/Dru/Bard Wood Elf. Would I have trouble getting SK spells as a wood elf?

You get what they consider "essential" spells from 1-20 automatically. The rest have to be bought. Plat is not an issue and you can pre-scribe spells of any class/level into your spellbook. All class spell vendors are in the Iksar starting city (New Sebilis) off North Ro. Just jump to a Rogue, increase Sneak up to 15/20 and go in to buy your spells.

You would have to go to FP to get them, so maybe. Up to 20 you get some autogranted, but everything else is vendors. Once you have sneak on BRD and max it to 75 you can also do the faction quests to unlock iksar, which will also make you not KOS in New Seb, which has spell vendors for all classes. It really is a great little hub.

I've been ignoring this thread because I thought it was the thread where people were talking about old EQ players and stories. I just found out about this from somewhere else and got excited. Sounds like some of the people here in Beta aren't loving it, but I'm probably still going to give it a try and maybe even recruit a handful of friends to try it with me.
