Servers last night even on primetime are all med/low - Population took major hits since their producer letter.

Even Streamer server never got high pop.

This is absolutely not true. When I logged in at 7:30 PM CST they were all high except for Oggok at medium, the two European servers at low. There are a lot of Cash Shop karens running around trying to convince everyone the game is a failure now, and that is very far from the truth. So many bros in this community insist on being perpetually aggrieved.

Edit: Just to add. I am really not a EQL cuck. There are parts of the game I despise.

Question about tradeskills especially weapons: do they also combine/stack? Can I smith a finesteel javelin and stack them and have a +8 one?
Yes you can, but you will be better off getting drops in dungeons. You will save time, money, and end up with MUCH better items.

This was my experience as well. It said high across the board except for Oggok at medium and the euro servers at low. Granted, we don't know what constitutes high, medium, and low.

I've been playing the preorder beta super casually and I'm having a good time. I'll play much more intensely when live launches. I enjoyed THJ more when I played there, but I'm having fun with this too. There are some interesting choices that I'm optimistic about too. Upgrading the spells is a neat mechanic to introduce and could be great, we'll have to wait and see. Besides, as much as I enjoyed THJ, the AA grind got obnoxius eventually. I guess that will likely happen here too at some point, but right now it feels good.

At the end of the day I only care whether or not this is enjoyable to me. I enjoy running around old EQ zones being able to clear dungeons and raid mobs solo. As long as they let me do that I'll probably be satisfied. Personally, the pricing is fine for me. Both the box price and the sub price are not an issue and I don't care about the cash shop at all. I like the levelling process, so I don't want to speed it up and, since the game is essentially a single player RPG for me, I could care less what anyone else does. I have no interest in buying class or race unlocks either. I suppose it's possible I might buy a bag or two at some point, but I doubt it. The ability to vendor items directly from the loot window and to merge copies of the same item together to level them up, means my inventory takes forever to fill up. I also don't participate in the economy very much. I like to pay the iron price for everything.

I do think 6 moths is too long for Kunark, but I'll just go play other things when I get bored with classic.

Bit of feedback: First toon to 50 was War/Pal/Drui. Solid, tanky, did well. Have a War/SK/SHM at lvl 23 (fresh on a separate server, not fully geared reset of first toon) right now and its much more fun. Have to actually play, rather than stand there and heal yourself while enemies each damage shields.

4:00 pm central and the servers are getting full.

I think defense is a pretty easy place to get for a lot of builds with stuff like defensive/mage hunter/evasive stance. Getting damage isn't as bad, but for real non-stop damage I think a lot of classes need DEEP investment into things like crit/crit damage AA's which just can't be acquired with the necessity of spending so much AA into stuff like stun resist right now. I'd expect them to probably leave the number of ranks and halve the total cost of stuff like Stalwart and Stoicism. Getting level 47 before you can invest in damage is the absolute wrong way to play, but the most efficient way of not getting trucked.

Got my charm/mez RESISTANCE maxed last night. I'd say immunity, but it's like 80 charm, 65 mez at max. That means I still have a 20% chance on Enchanter mobs just instantly killing my pet because when I'm charmed they insta despawn. Would like them to do something about that as well.

I had a moment fighting undertow's placeholder like that. I noticed really quickly that my pet was just gone. Was this one, I took a picture because it was such a painful fight:

I just figured it had some kind of special banish or something. Totally magic immune too, couldn't even get lifetaps to land in channel stance. Undertow was alot easier.

What does the WAR bring to those builds when you already have the hybrid tank?

WAR traditionally had higher defense and offense/weapon skill caps than Knights. But who the fuck knows what the tranny brigade has done to bastardize this server. Haste on Paladins and Harm Touch that hits like a wet noodle leaves me suspect that anything is remotely like it should be.

Yeah.. depending on the class and/or combo they get access to all (or at least some) of the kit. I noticed my own SK pet is now coming into fights with HT, Taps, etc. like a man possessed. Kind of freaked me out. That's either new or I missed it in the later years of EQ. I see NPCs with pets, that while low level, can put up pretty good fights just people of what class(es) they've been assigned. Seems like I remember in the old days, SK NPC's would HT you but it appears they have much more access to the kit than before.

Pets get lost a lot in kedge. Just give up on finding you and poof themselves.

The 1% hp per tick is super good too, especially with Unyielding (2x hp regen). I think I have like ~140hp per tick right now at 48?
That too. I was at 160 per tick. Helpful 1v1 against normal planes mobs, but not raid bosses. However, leveling it was good.

Warrior does need better AAs though. Area taunt and leap are worthless. Fear immunity is almost entirely worthless. That’s 3 dead AAs.

Fear Immunity is big for raiding though. And for doing d4s where half the things will be SKs or NEC wanting to fear you into other groups.
