This is a great tip. In reality they should just give you all classes auto-granted spells right at level one. You shouldn't have to switch to actually be that class or level up to get them. The way it's done now is confusing and there's no way to tell what spells you'll get when you level up.

It's funnier and more obviously dysfunctional than that. If you'll recall this started out as "You're being misled by the devs and you're all falling for it and will hate it when you get a chance to try it and I'll be here to tell you I told you so". Maybe not the most appealing stance to take, but not really very unusual for forums. I totally get that this game isn't going to appeal to everyone, but I am having fun. When I stop having fun then I'll go play something else instead. Just like I do with literally everything else that I do for fun. It's amazing to me that this upsets anyone enough to read and post about it. I essentially never even look at threads about games I don't like. Why anyone would obsess over the fact that someone, somewhere likes something that they don't is beyond me. This has been an interesting look at the mental illness of some internet denizens for me.

The information about how this game works and what they're working on is awful. More than half the reason I read this thread is to see what's coming up. THJ, Ascendant, Perky, and Imperium all had extensive information available on either their website, their discord, or both. I haven't seen a well maintained source of information for this server. They really need to centralize their communication efforts somewhere so people can easily find information. Which spells are auto-granted is a perfect example.

For autogranted spells, most classes have them marked as "Autogranted" in the Location column on the wiki, example: Enchanter - EverQuest Legends Wiki.

While this is bad design on their part (esp since you can mem spells that are beyond your level) it's ultimately not that important since plat is so meaningless. There isn't a huge hit to just buying all the spells you care about when you get to the vendor and the fact that the spells are all on a single vendor vs spread out across many makes it easier. You stop getting auto-grants it seems by the time the cost of spells matter, so the opportunity cost is only tens of plat per class at worst.
You can make more plat than you save by just buying all the spells and using the time you would have been trying to min-max autogrants farming giants or something.

They do link to it in discord, but you might have to browse channels to see it. There is an #eql-wiki-content and #eql-wiki-issues channel. Guessing it's not in the launcher since having sites solve everything is a controversial issue in retard mmo land.

Also, had some dex parsing, I'd say it's not nearly enough to say this or that for sure, but did a bunch of various 10 minute parses on Arena lvl 50 dummy (from behind) with my 50 SK. Dex does seem to be much more valuable in this compared to classic EQ, but it appears the weapon proc formula is the same (IE worthless):
