Kedge was so fun. Having a fishbone earning was a must because those little fish that cast dispel would remove your waterbreathing otherwise. I remember Bkua had the earring spawn on lock for like a year, he gave me one to help with pulling because I had no ingame money (since monks had to throw like 90% of it away)

It's definitely not THJ, so if that is what you are wanting and expecting, then yes. If you are open to a new EQ experience that is a lot of fun, then no.

Take THJ,
Butcher XP because it was "too fast"
Nerf item progression into the ground to heavily timegate things
Nerf items to functionally be T2 THJ items, instead of T3 at max rank
Add 7 day lockouts to raids to further timegate things
Butcher bag space and the ability to respec with class changes to sell MTX
Remove the most popular expansions from your nostalgia bait game
Remove Free trade
Remove build variations an add homogenizing "stances" to classes
Add a box price, a sub price and make the MTX more prevelant.
On the plus side
You can move weapon procs to different weapons via Augs.
You can vendor things from the advanced loot window.

Yup. Clippy there has not played the game at all, which is why his list of bullshit just grows.
At the end of the day fun is the only thing that actually matters. It's entirely subjective, but me, my guildies, and a lot of the folks we played with 1999-2002 are all having a blast. Tomorrow is going to be a shit show with people overloading the servers, but it is going to be a lot fun when you can get in.

The question anyone thinking about playing needs to ask themselves is do they believe the same group of retards who have had a hate boner for this thing since page 1 and know absolutely nothing about the game and don't care to learn or do they believe the rest of the people who say its fun.

My gripe is not with the game or how fun it is or whatever. The gripe I have is there was this thing called THJ, super popular server that was thriving. They had lots of plans for the future which we will now never see. Instead of making a deal with THJ guys, which im sure they would have taken, they sued them and stole the fucking idea and gave it to some tranny wanna be dev instead. But thats neither here or there. It was just a shitty way to deal with this and this is why I will not touch this shit with a ten foot pole. Bad business practices.
