I'm 50 CLR/WAR/BRD in full raid gear and 115AA of which the bard owns almost half and it feels replaceable outside of zoom run fast. Definitely does all content, but it's pretty slow DPS for raids. Solid for grinding otherwise. I think it does really well in caster comps though brd/wiz/enc etc.

That's exactly what I was trying to figure out- thanks. I don't think I'd use it with a melee based combo, but my idea was exactly what you mentioned: brd/wiz/enc.

Super fast mana regen, kiting monster, charms, slows, and CC. Seems like it would kill fast, kill lots (aoe), and recover quickly.

Just not sure if it's viable to try to kill bosses with a charmed pet tanking and no heals for the pet. Because that build couldn't tank on it's own.

There is a streamer running this comp and seems to do well. morningcoffee or something similar to that on twitch. would be your best bet in watching it play live.

Now that bard seems much more viable without needing to equip instruments in weapon slots, I'm curious if anyone here has experience playing one as part of a trio?

If so what trio are you using and how is the bard working out?
Bard is probably top 3 most played classes. They pump up a lot of trios and cover a lot of bases.

Yes, easy and very good support for any build. And a DDD build has huge booms for farming. sk/shm/brd has a crazy amount of utility and a huge amount of dps. The 5 spell gems you sacrifice for symp aura just replace things shaman would have been dropping on you anyways.

Right now the meta is on ENC for insane charm hijinks.

I do agree with the sentiment that they better release new content fairly quickly if they want to keep any momentum going. I'm the Dad Gamer poster child and even I will probably have everything done in a month. Almost feels like you're playing a first person ARPG with how juiced your character gets so you're going to need a lot of content/chase items to keep players interested enough to keep playing.

I tried Naggy at 40 and couldn’t manage it. Super bad RNG on smite to reset lay on hands. And, he has no mana bar but keeps casting infinitely? That’s BS.

For any Enc's out there, you might want to do the Incandescent Rod quest for your pets. AE Stun proc that was mostly useless for actual Enchanters outside of some memes, but should be awesome for a charm pet.

I got Naggy down to 25% at 40. I tried going back at 43, but it wouldn't let me create the raid instance. I was locked out which sucks.

I was thinking I’d try again at 42 or 43 as well. In beta I did it at 45 with Ranger/Paladin/Shaman and could handle D2.

Wouldn't you need to charm an enchanter pet for this to work, since the proc requires enchanter? Or do charmed pets ignore class requirements? I know normal pets need to class match the gear they wear

Haha, day drinking vodka sodas, listening to Chemical Brothers, drunk texting old gf's, and crawling through non respawning EQ dungeons. Holy shit this is the most fun I've had in a video game in forever! If I don't end up in some sleazy strip club by the end of the day it will be a fucking miracle.
