I think they got the progression done fairly well at this point:

- you level and farm drops (btw nice site for "BIS" items for your build: EQ Legends BiS Gear - EQ Legends Tools), you need some pp (spells) and motes to get your "basic" +4 set running
- at 50 (depending on your trio, really) you farm hate/fear/the "bosses" (Yael, Vox, Nagafen, Finigel) and try to maximize some stats/ressists and get some 100-200 AAX going
- after that it's sky/unlocks and +4 variants of the bosses

This is really okay for what you could do with Vanilla I think. Of course the trios vary vastly in power, some can bitchsmack bosses at 40 with 100AAX and LGuk/SolBH gear, others need way longer, but that's expected.

I really think they have have something going. Yes, nolivers will be bored after 4 weeks or until Kunark but everyone else will be busy and entertained. Also huge potential if they have the freedom to add new zones and stuff.

Only thing I dislike are the droprate for "rare" drops. EQ had this 1:3 thing going or better 25% to 75%. Now it's like 1:10 or worse I think because of the short respawn. Now if you want to upgrade an item by drops you see 10 moonstone rings for every fbss e.g. Tried to get the ring from Efreeti had 18 boots before the first ring dropped, wanted the Mithril BP from the priest, had 17 carnal pauldrons before first BP etc. Guess they really want you to upgrade via motes and as already said, they are really rare after tier 3

I normally have that kind of luck. But last night drelzna and najena both dropped everything they had in like 3 or 4 spawns. :emoji_four_leaf_clover:

With motes, for best drop rate, you need yellow / red cons. You need to be in highest tier difficulty. You need to be killing named. With those parameters, it will rain motes, regardless of zone.
-Grey con / No exp named = no motes
-White / Blue / LB con = lower tier motes
-Lower difficulty tiers = less motes

Yeah doing 10-25 in befallen on d4 netted me like 40+ motes of 4/5/6 rank. More than I got at L50 doing all raids D0-D4 and full clearing poh/pof 2x.

Very worth it to run your alts up that way.

Good advice, I'll make sure to do that after 50. Thx.

Trying this out now. Started a warrior/cleric. Thinking of adding rogue or maybe shaman as 3rd.

Cleric already has massive buffs and heals. Shaman would only bring slows. Which rogues can also do with poisons and add a ton more dps.

It's almost like they designed the game that way to sell motes on 3rd party sites. I'm sure none of those are for sale anywhere.
