Is spell specialization a big deal, especially with the AA that lets you specialize in the rest? I am MNK/SK/SHM. At 20 (if that is the correct level), should I be casting alteration spells to specialize in Shammy heals? Or again, is it not really that big of a deal?

Probably due to how every mob is multiclased and will just chain cast on you. And most pets are also dual classed with something that can cast.

Aggro range is only bad in Fear, or D3-D4 dungeons. When you feign it takes minutes for mobs to clear off the aggro list.
