Exactly, no shit, it's not an EMU. It's nostalgia bait for 40 year olds. Nobody was playing THJ because it was free, a whole bunch of people weren't playing it because it was an EMU. Just like i said a official version would be popular. Now imagine it wasn't being made by a retarded dev team and came out a year ago because there wasn't a pointless lawsuit. Hear that? that's the sound of me being right again. But again, it's also having horrible retention as predicted, because the dev team is retarded.

From what I have experienced, I cannot run any other songs while having the song aura active, it just interrupts any other songs. But 5 songs active with no extra work from me so I can focus on my cleric spells and fighter skills during combat is a really sweet deal to me. And yeah, definitely need the extra spell slot AAs as well. These were the two main AA trees I focused on completing.
What exactly is the nostalgia bait and switch here? The leveling process is super fast (too fast if you ask me), people can login and actually be playing the game within seconds with no reliance on others or camp contention, and they have the ability to kill the bosses and get the loot someone on nostalgia run would want.
Since you speak in such broad generalities for a game you've never actually played, I can honestly never tell which side of the equation they went too far on for your disliking. Is the game too hardcore for those 40 year olds they baited? Is the leveling curve to difficult since you cannot just AE entire zones down? Should they be showered in BIS items every time they kill the end game mobs? I'm sure you can put 2 and 2 together that the more that's just handed to a player the quicker they are to lose them as a customer. Just like TLP's in month 3 of expansions people will stop logging in when there's nothing left for them to do, this isn't some special issue w/ EQL.

I am like lvl 25 now farming sword, fist and haste belt in najena, exp sucks up front now but seems drops farther in aren't really that great. Having fun will probably hit up some older dungeons at d4 to gear up some after I'm done in najena. Any guilds or anything people been gravitating towards on Qeynos ?
Tell me when they actually implement being able to earn inventory slots and loadouts and I'll buy it.

I ran total newb gear until level 40, which was enough to farm some SSOY, at 46 I did D1 naggy getting a CoF, bladestopper and a bunch of upgrades from the firegiants.
Farming lower end stuff seems totally unnecessary.

Symp Aura will block you from using aor/group spells. You can still use single target songs manually or via melody

You basically followed what I did, same class combos. Will hit 50 this afternoon, also looking for some weapon upgrades. Did hate from 47-49, going to do some instance resetting to try to get the SK scythe and then hit the dragons to as high as I can get and then try sky
I’ll admit all the charm shenanigans make me regret not going super ezmode.
Overall having a blast, even if it only lasts a month or two it’s worth the price of admission
