I know people have progressed a lot further than this already, but I took down Yael on a fresh 40. I couldn't quite take down Naggy...maybe if I got rid of my pet and tried to charm one of his guards, but Bard charm isn't nearly as reliable as Enchanter, so I'll probably just go level up to 42 or so and try again. I haven't tried Vox yet.

Vox with the cleric giant add is tough that early on. I did it at 45, same with Naggy. But, I didn't have a charm class in the trio.

Anyone else tried Rogue yet? I subbed out Paladin for Rogue, paired with planar geared Monk and Shaman. Felt pretty bad.
I ran war/rog/Dru in beta and they are pretty forgettable. Ranger is dramatically better for dps, if pretty boring. Maybe rogue could work if you combo'd with Monk and tried to use Striker stance a lot or something. Maybe micro managing it with cooldowns. Dunno, but I wanted to make Rogue work and didn't really feel like it did. I also didn't get end game gear so maybe it ramps up

That's exactly what I did. But, when backstab, Tiger Strike, and Round Kick all hit each round it took like 30-40% of the endurance bar. Within 2 or 3 mobs you're stuck using Balance. And the poisons seems pretty underwhelming too.
I'm definitely going to run Ranger again, but getting into SK right now with Monk/Shm. Over a few sessions, I got SK/Monk/Shm from 10 to 29 in 8 hours. Its a solid combo. Curious if it can compete with Paladin against raid bosses though.

Hit 50 on war/wiz/shm. Its pretty nice, something for every situation but kinda wish I'd have ran a ench. Anything over D1 gives me more issues than I'd like, but that could just be a gear problem. I'm still like 99% in newbie gear other than some random pieces I've picked up here and there and a CoF from when I killed D0 naggy.

Is there a good way to farm motes? I assume greys dont drop them right? I had the thought i could go back to befallen at 50 and just crank the difficult to max and slaughter everything for motes but I cant seem to find a good source of information on how or why they drop. I cleared all of Hate the other night and got like one total.

Hooold up, pets click items they have equipped ? that is so bad ass.

I am like lvl 25 now farming sword, fist and haste belt in najena, exp sucks up front now but seems drops farther in aren't really that great. Having fun will probably hit up some older dungeons at d4 to gear up some after I'm done in najena. Any guilds or anything people been gravitating towards on Qeynos ?
No you need to put it in your exaltations part of the storage inventory, then there’s a drop down for your pet to select the illusion.

I think it’s bugged so you need to pull the exaltation out of it and put both the item and the effect in separately

Did they use/add the "new" type poison where it's a 1 hour proc buff or is it vanilla 1 charge per poison (or however it worked originally)? I remembered trying to use Sloth poison way back in original Kunark and it was mostly worthless and a huge pain to make. The new poisons are the "Bite of the Shissar" line.

Rogues on THJ and Ascendant seem to really need the "new" poisons and frontstab AA to even be viable. Then you can stack it with a Wizard and all the wiz spell crit AA buff the poison. SK taps also work well with Wiz spell crit AAs.

Poisons are perma and you get to select 3 to be on at all times. There's different "lines" so you can't necessarily use the 3 you want, but it's not that limiting.

Motes only drop from mobs that would give XP and the harder the mob (yellows and reds, for instance) the higher the chance of a mote drop. Also, higher difficulty dungeons will drop higher value motes.
Best way to get motes and AAs is to swap out one class and restart at lvl 10, but do D2-D4. You'll have the gear to do it and you'll get better XP for AAs and better motes, more often.
As an example, swapping out Paladin for SK today I started at lvl 10 and by the time I was finished my Unrest stint I had 8 AAs and 6 motes that were D1-D3. That was 2 hours of play.

Something that's weird is my nec has -2 hp regen (per the sheet) and I'm quickly regenning to full out of combat, not sitting. Seems like there's something above and beyond that I'm not understanding.

Also I heard that if the mob has more than 1 class they have a higher chance of dropping motes. This was in chat so take it for what it's worth.

Motes are based on 3 things:

-Mob level (won't give motes if they don't give exp. Higher level difference, higher chance of motes and higher motes)
-Rarity (Rare/bosses have higher chances of motes)
-Difficulty MULTICLASSES (mobs have higher chance to drop motes per EACH CLASS on the mob. That's why D4 is preferred as it's 100% multiclass, but D3 isn't bad but it's only like 75% chance of multiclass so might as well D4)

Best place is Befallen dark elves when under leveled by 10+ levels. After that D4 Hate T2 is good but annoying, we were testing D4 The Hole Undead and it may be BIS for a small group/single person as the mobs are 53-55 and a TON of named spawn in place of ANY ghost there. I got a T8 mote the other night at 50 from a lvl 53 named right as we ended a 30 minute session.

Sky in D4 could be okay, but you'd need a charm pet and it's probably dogshit just because respawns aren't fast enough, mob types are INSANE to begin with, and there's no "rare" mobs. Just HUGE mob level difference up to lvl 62. I haven't tested that because I'm not that big of a masochist and I think most people just do level 10 alts in befallen for easy 4/5/6's and AA's.

I ran total newb gear until level 40, which was enough to farm some SSOY, at 46 I did D1 naggy getting a CoF, bladestopper and a bunch of upgrades from the firegiants.

Farming lower end stuff seems totally unnecessary.

shm/sk/mnk with around 100 AA - love the class combo but the monk weight cap applying is bullshit

Anyone can tell me how hard monk sky first is to get?
its not hard you’re just subject to rng drops, I’m yet to see them still lol

most annoying part is learning to invis onto bee island and wrap around to the back to pull the boss + 1 bee, then you can kill the boss so he splits and FD to reset the add, the boss will stay where you killed em

Sheet is for in combat. Out of combat regen is just huge.
