This is the way. Even as a Pally, heading to undead area of Hole, it sucked. Mobs have just truckloads of HP. Get your Idol and move off to SolB imps / efreeti until you ding 46.
As mentioned, Idol of the Underking is absolutely worth picking up. It is significantly easier now with a personal instance and no PHs. The named is found down in the jail area on a static spawn spot and spawns every time. Just a bit of RNG needed to get his rare drop (the Idol), but the Heal focus is well worth your time.
Btw, I literally havent logged in since my screen pic some days ago with dual flame swords. I just cant bring myself to log in and farm +betterer gear when I can already beat all of the most difficult content faster than I can spawn instances. Kunark / new content is much too far out. I've cancelled my sub.

Yeah, I'm intentionally playing a build without a healer to give it more legs. Haven't quite made D4 CT yet (nor have I played around with higher difficulty PoS because why hit yourself in the nuts more than you have to?) but it has been more interesting this way.
As others noted, the 3 bees were a challenge. I did them without mez/charm by dirging them down (took multiple attempts to get the crits necessary to kill one). They're damaged output is pretty nuts with all 3 up.

You KNOW the answer is most people who play EQ absolutely binge it and are doing 6-10 hour days, non-stop. Their own worst enemies.

It is pretty fast to end though, I started like 10 days ago and I am already level 43. I play super casual like 2 to 3 hours a day on weekdays and maybe slightly more on weekend. I really don't see this server having much staying power to be honest, there just isn't enough to do and will take awhile for expansion. Its a fun time waster though and honestly price is pretty cheap, its even cheaper than EQ was back in the day.

I already feel like this and I haven’t even got past having like 3 pieces of bronze armor. None of my armor is more than +2.
I’ve already killed everything with two 9/18 weapons. Where’s my motivation to get better anything. I’m still using Befallen and Najena gear in almost every slot.
I tried getting Sky weapons a handful of times and I was like nope, not farming this another time more.

Sure sure, you guys beat CT+4 with a few pieces of bronze, rusty daggers as DRU/BST/MAG at level 46 with 20 AA. Got it.

I think a big thing is once you have a class combo that can do D4 there’s really no reason to level any other classes or farm gear upgrades anymore. This is probably more of an issue with Enchanters being so much better than every other class its not even close that it's hard to want to drop ench to level anything else up that doesn't include it lol

At 50 with pal/mnk/enc it was all trivial (below d4.)
I personally saw no reason to chase d4 since it’s the same stuff. That said with enc a lot of it is probably doable with minimal gear.

Puts in 5 days /played in <2 weeks. Plays the most OP combo and rushes BIS. Why isn't the content that wasn't hard to begin with so trivial? 
My favorite kind of gamer.
I too poopsock hardcore but have and continue to enjoy myself immensely. I've got every single piece of raid gear/class sets to +5 or higher (which means no more raiding until kunark gob bless), got 25-30 posky quests left to go (this part can lick my bum since it's all sister/eov), got 4 classes to finish leveling to 25 and then I begin the 25-50 grind for ALL classes, got most of my tradeskills 200+, been prequesting epic pieces, been finding random shit that might be useful later for procs etc, exploring and chillin with the homies. With 100+ hours I am actually surprised I have so much to do despite not caring about upgrading my gear anymore.

I had played an OP combo. Sure the enchanter charm and CC is super strong. However, as I said a week ago, the problem is their tiering system just doesn’t work. No one really needs +4 gear whatsoever, let alone +10. The difficulty at the top end just doesn’t require it, so why bother with that treadmill mechanic whatsoever? Hell, I think like 75% of my spells are rank 5 or lower. Beyond that is mostly for spell duration because everything just lands, especially with overchannel.
I did have fun, honestly. I just don’t think their systems were implemented well. They had interesting ideas, but the execution is a big disappointment.

Everyone was saying how easy Innoruuk is, but even with OverChannel I was getting everything resisted. I used some motes on Languid Pace and was able to get it to land enough to beat him on my 3rd or 4th attempt. I had to stance dance between Mage Hunter to begin, then between Evasive, Balanced, and Defensive while healing myself to barely eke out a win with 17% HPs and completely out of mana and endurance. I also used LoH twice during the fight and bought Spirit Frenzy with 4 AAs just because I couldn't land DoTs on him and needed a DPS boost.
Anyway, the bracer and ring were huge upgrades...then I got a piece of Valorium just killing trash in PoH after this, so my power is going to skyrocket with the planar gear. I'll probably try to get the torn, burnt book off Naggy and go do the rest of the Fiery Avenger, but Ghoulbane is my best weapon right now, so I kinda need an upgrade before I turn it in.
