That sounds like peak Secrets tbhIt's certainly a choice to change one of the most beloved EQ expansions.
Producer letter out,
new zone soon, Kunark in Dec, level cap will be 55 and it will be Rulers of Kunark not Ruins…
Hail Legends!
We hope that you’re enjoying EverQuest Legends, checking out the new Dungeon Crawls, and perfecting your unique builds!
Now that we’re past launch and heading into the Fall season, I wanted to take a moment to share some of our plans for the rest of the year and beyond.
First and foremost, the team is working hard to prepare for the launch of Nektropos Castle and Lake Nerius in October! Along with Nektropos we’ll also be adding a new starting zone and a brand-new playable race as part of the update. From the outside, Nektropos looks like a stately castle surrounded by a bustling trade hub. But many dark secrets await those who find their way inside. And, perhaps … underneath? There will also be seasonal items and events to enjoy as you explore these new areas of Norrath!
After that, there’s no time to rest as we turn our sights on the release of Rulers of Kunark in mid-December! As a reminder, EverQuest Legends is set in a different timeline than the original game, so you should expect to see some major differences with this expansion. Where there were once crumbling remnants of a distant empire you will now find the factions battling for supremacy at the height of their powers. The Rulers of Kunarkexpansion will also include Reincarnation, which is a new system that will allow you to re-level your characters and unlock new abilities and increased stat caps. We will also be adding increased max levels (55), Aliases, Collections, Artes, Auction Houses, and much more!
Finally, looking forward to 2027, we are currently working on plans for additional Kunark zones, another playable race in Kunark, and two more raid zones for Kunark. We will also release a new high-level outdoor zone, Rujarkian Hills, which is being pushed back to accommodate our plan to add additional content to Nektropos. Later in 2027, we plan to release another major expansion based on Velious. And in the expansion after that we will be revisiting forgotten places and lost secrets to take the game in entirely new, if vaguely familiar, directions.
We’re super excited for all of you to join us in exploring EQ Legends as the world continues to grow and evolve. As always, we welcome your feedback and look forward to seeing you in the game soon!
Cheers,
Dave “Sysyphus” Youssefi
Executive Producer, EverQuest Legends

People were warning you guys playing this. Secrets was going to gay it up.Literally no one asked for this (Rulers of Kunark). People are playing this because they want to dad game and solo dungeons and raids at a chill pace.
Like for Kunark I want to solo VS, Trak, VP etc like they were back in the day, and be able to solo the epics for as many classes as I feel like doing. Not whatever this gay shit is they're planning.
The changes to Kunark is a WTF. They have a very small dev team, and now they are pushing back other content to fiddle with it. Delays tend to compound, and they will wind up with triple-digit population numbers if they fuck it up. All quite predictable, but still strange to see.Literally no one asked for this (Rulers of Kunark). People are playing this because they want to dad game and solo the classic dungeons and raids at a chill pace.

Retards are going to do retarded things.
Except it's not the same thing which is the whole point.like buying another wow game thats just the tenth iteration of the same thing, and then wonder why blizzard no make gud gamez anymore

You're pretty fucking retarded it seems.except that it is. Same mechanics, same world, same races but a few extra, even same god damn timeline at the first year. They dont even raise the level cap.

Ya they are going to over think and over tweek this thing into the ground. I'm as slow of a dad gamer there is and even I have just about run out of stuff to do. Still have some PoS stuff to do but PoS sucks. Need to check when my sub re-ups and if they haven't given us something new to chew on by then it's getting turned off.The producer's letter sounds like they aren't releasing the Kunark zones in as similar state as possible, but are instead making new versions where everything isn't in ruins?
Seems crazy and improbable. There's just so much content that would need to be redone.

I'm pretty sure all the community wants is the 2000 era Kunark with easy-mode soloability to get epics, and then intermittent releases of similar zones.

Doesn't look like anything good is coming for a while.Ya they are going to over think and over tweek this thing into the ground. Doesn't look like anything good is coming ever.Doesn't look like anything good is coming for a while.
This sounds really dumb. We just want Kunark, dudes.
How the hell does it even make sense that we'd go to Kunark at the heigh of the empire's power? Are we time traveling now?
Who am I kidding; it's not like they care at all about any kind of cohesive story telling.
