Started playing W3 and curious to see at what point the "open world" is dead as has been stated ITT. As far as I can tell it has the same content density as FO4. The only difference being instead of large blocks of empty buildings/hillsides as filler you have hamlets and woods/bogs.

Would like to know more so I can be taking better notes for quality comparison.

There are only so many developer sanctioned ways you can interact with it, but it's certainly more tightly designed. Bethesda's games are designed to withstand an atomic bomb so to speak, W3's world is more along the lines of a D&D campaign, sure you can do anything it feels like, but at some point the DM is going to say "that's stupid" and return you to square one or murder you for your stupidity. It's also a lot prettier.

Fast travel in W3 is intentionally a PITA and the combat system is fairly annoying. Really what it has in its favor is better voice acting (predetermined protagonist helps) and more story.

I can understand that, but it doesn't address what I was getting at. I'll go thread diving later to find out who said it, but the way I took their comment was that the world was sparsely populated or alive while praising FO4 for doing a passable job. Content Options(which is still questionable with my particular FO4 experience) != Content density.

Actual pieces/suit or something else? If you had a custom suit, I know there is a known issue where the companion teleports elsewhere due to a quest and the suit remains where they last left it prior to the teleport. You may want to start there if there is nothing at the actual quest location.

Is Overseer's not automatic? I haven't bought it yet because about mid-way through I looted a Kneecapper Shotgun (I have it at 120 damage now). Shit is ridiculous, shoot at the legs of anything (Deathclaw, Behemoth etc) with two shots and it amputates the leg and it's fucking cake from there.

His new armor is something else and didn't have the helmet I stole from the BoS, his armor on the Prydwen is his stock BoS armor. It's no big deal, just means I need to find some new X01 armor or whatever.

Speaking of Danse, I'm pretty sure he tried to seduce me yesterday. I told his ass to get back to the choppa and then I went and tried bang Piper to prove I wasn't gay.

I've never ran Piper as a companion because her mannerisms when you first meet her annoy me to hell and I find her face punchable

The weird thing was that I'd only taken Danse on one mission, then all of a sudden I'm his best friend in the universe.

My wife has found out there is a dog companion in this game so when she comes upstairs and I'm playing she demands I port to Sanctuary to "check in" on Dogmeat. She was also upset I sold my characters wedding ring immediately after leaving cryo.
