Since we don't have a golf thread. I'm playing in my Club Championship this weekend. I won it here in 2012 and have my nice crystal and I was playing well today through 15. Then I shot 9 over on the last 4 to take myself completely out of contention going in to tomorrow (2 day stroke play). If anyone is wondering how that can happen I play at TPC River Highlands where they play the Traveler's Championship (Chez Reavie won here this year):

You're obviously a lot better than me, but I'm guessing you're somewhere in my area. This is the first year I've really tried to get somewhat serious about golf (I played maybe once every 2-3 years before) but I played at TPC River Highlands maybe 3 years ago for a political fundraiser and shot something terrible like 120. I'm probably closer to +18 or 20 now so still bad but not embarrassingly so (I'd like to think). Hoping to get down to +15 or so by the end of the season (taking lessons now)

I got my first hole in one today boys. We get $1800 clubhouse credit for it at my club which usually gets sucked down at the bar but today was opening day for the club which involves a scramble tournament and an open bar all day for all members. I get to keep all that sweet dough and get my name on the board!
