Second thing. I'm Like the less prodigal son from the family destined to use phoenix magic. I can shoot fireballs out of my dick, but I can't heal and can only use three potions. Fine. Enter random forest with Cid...your old dog shows up, accept him to the group..."heres how your dog can cast cure". Wtf was this magic dog doing when Ifrit killed my brother?

I picked this up awhile back, but felt like a cutscene around every corner, is the whole game like that? Just couldn't get into it.

It’s constant. Sometimes it’s like cutscene, take five steps, cutscene. Game sucks.

Apparently the second and last DLC is out now. Thinking about digging this out of the mothballs and paying up $25 just to play the DLCs. They worth it? I've played pretty much everything in the FF series, beaten every superboss, etc. Except FF15, I never did any of the DLCs or the superboss in that one. However I'm kinda stoked for Leviathan since it was clearly cut content from the main FF16 story, so hopefully it's good (and hopefully whatever the first DLC was is also interesting).

I didn't play the DLC's on 16. I did on 15 on PC as they were part of the package and they were ok for what they were. These fucks are charging extra for the DLC's on PC?! This was such a wild departure from FF that I'm waiting for it all for less than $20 and/or free.

They charge for the dlc on every console. You probably got the royal edition which came with them years later

Is this game worth playing? The last one I played you “drove” around the world in a car. Was kinda lame.

It is worth playing. You should also get it at full price to reward the devs for such a masterpiece.

Honestly, it's a good game. It's just not as final fantasy as I would like my final fantasies to be. Had a lot of cool features and I really liked the Eidolon fights, but all things being equal I want a return to turn-based combat. DQ11 is still the best JRPG of the last decade for me; I like it over even Persona 5. FF16 is objectively better than 15, and I would say better than FF13 as well.

They really should return to turn based or something similar - not everything needs to be Kingdom Hearts.

I thought the first quarter to half of the game was great. The first few hours is honestly an epic game of thrones type experience.

Unfortunately, it starts to wind down after that and by the end of the game it fizzles out like a wet fart. It's like they ran out of ideas and padded the second half of the game with loads of bear ass side quests. The final boss is literally "who?.meme" and one of the lamest FF endings ever.

I was a moron and bought the stupid season pass so I "own" the DLC, but can't be bothered to even play it.

I would love this so much. I'm tired of spastic action based combat and wish FF would go back to its roots. I'm old and just want to chill and kill monsters and shit at my own pace.

Yeah I felt bait and switched honestly. I played the demo with no intention of buying it. The demo is like 3ish hours of absolute spiciness. Then I bought the game. And it sucked.
