I swear this gaming is frustrating me beyond the will to play. I think I have crashed around 20-25 times today. Various different scenarios and reasons.

It is beyond frustrating using the most current iOS device and software that there can be these issues. I remember it being a problem in Brave Frontier as well.

Connected through your home's wifi? You can try disabling IPv6 on your router to see if it helps. Saw the recommendation elsewhere, and that worked to fix crashing issues on my phone at least.

Mobile on LTE or iPad at home. IPv6 is not enabled anywhere on my network.

Nothing kills a game more for me than bugginess.

Made pretty short work of Ifirit on ELT with the below

Cecil - Provoke/Focus/occasional back up heal
Marie - BarFiraga, anti-ele, dual cast protect/shel (depending on what I have up and need)
Refia - Initial embodden then pretty much dual heal the rest of the fight
Noctis - Thunder Flask/Warp
Olive - Shatting Shot > True Shot (destroys him pretty bad)

I don't dispel the fire debuff, all 5 guys run 30-70% natural fire resist and 5k health.

I decided to stop using bushido to remove the fire debuff. It's riskier, but it's also a lot less clicking per kill, and after a day of running the raid, it got tiresome having to manually remove that debuff and rebuff everyone every 3rd turn. Now I do:

Cecil -> BarFira + Curaja, Provoke, or Curaja x2
Refia -> Curaja x2
Ling -> Atk/Mag break
3x DPS units -> Their biggest hitting move

With the above, I only have to manually put in commands for Cecil per round, since he has to keep rotating between the buffs. Everyone else I can just hit repeat the entire encounter. It probably takes an extra turn or two sometimes because using repeat doesn't chain very well, but it's still probably faster overall due to minimal input required per turn.

Cecil - 10 fire res, 181 spirt, 7066 hp, full paralyze resists
Refia - 60 fire res, 346 spirt, 4235 hp, full par res
Ling - 50 fire res, 177 spirit, 3907 hp, full par res
rain - 0 fire res, 209 spirit, 5331 hp, full par res

gilg, 100 fire res, 163 spirit, 4912 hp, full par res

rain gets one shot a few times. occasionally, 2 or 3 will get 1 shot as well, dunno why.

I swapped out Luneth for Rain to help w/ buffing/debuffing. seems if Ling's Mag Break gets resisted, it's game over. so every round, i'll do either Ling or Rain's debuff. barfira on Cecil & Ling. Spir buff via Cecil & rain. surviving, and a longer fight, seems more reliable.

I don't know how you can consistantly win w/ just 3 on heals, buffs and debuffs. Maybe if I had more fire res, can't get any more w/o TRMs. I only have 1 blaze ring for some reason.


while my gilg has beast killer, i can't imagine people using him much for this. again, Noc seems such a better companion. comeback & cover really make such a diff.

Actually, your Gilgamesh is one of the best geared on my friend list, and I definitely use him each time he's up. Gilgamesh and Noctis are the only companions I really bring anymore. Sometimes I'll grab a 1k+ Olive, but then I have to manually time it to properly chain her finishing hits (though when I time it right those hits can do up to 50% of the bosses life in one round).

Much love to everyone who's been setting up their units for this event with paralyze immunity / Ifrit. Haven't had to reroll the friends list more than 2-3 times per orb recently to find a companion to tag along. I've optimized the farm runs to only take a few minutes now. Ok I decided to grab 2 X 10,000 amazon coins since the moogle bonus is so nice on these + I wanted to try and get a 2nd noct or Gilgamesh. Back to back last pulls with rainbows got me 1 of each so happy panda.

My question is now since I have 2 of each (1 max noct, other 3 not leveled/awakened), is it worth getting Gilgamesh up X 2 to replace chiz for chainers which I haven't even really used a chain team yet for shit. I have a solid TM base to cover Olive + 2 Gilgamesh's, I assume you use tri-attack to chain.

If Orlandu's sometime in the horizon and my limited awaking resources + very low amount of cactaurs i'm debating just holding off but i'd have to imagine a Olive + 2 gilg chain would bring some massigve ass rape damage. Party of me wouldn't mind my 2nd noct both for arena and for future fights that are wars of attrituion that you can't OTK etc, noct just seems to offer so much everything and 2 of him doesn't seem like too much overlap since he can do so much. Arena ultimately doesn't matter as it seems losing is an extremely rare thing even against the top 100 ranked teams thanks to shitty AI.

Also switched my friend unit to my Olive, she definitely makes the fight go fast

70% Fire resist (w/Ifrit)
Paralysis immune
2 X quick assault for some evade
5500 hp

I've spent 400+ and then 180 for above additional 2 mentioned above, not really sure what would be accomplished by lying to random people but you feel free to believe whatever you need my friend. I assure you I could give a flying fuck :)

I'm not tossing a jeweled ring on Firion, that would cost me 30+20% atk, at which point it would probably be better to just go back to boring old Noctis companion, and having someone other than Noctis/Olive up is fun.

There's a 50% chance of being paralyzed reach round. Means support have to cure instead of healing or buffing or debuffing. For anyone that can't get all 5 immune, your companion is a bad idea. The resist on debiffs are enough rng as it is

Thankfully my Marie is open most turns to cure it with an item.

Then again I'm not even taking Firions into the encounter.

jesus christ. Elite is worth morea little over 3x what pro is worth, but takes hundreds of times longer.

Yes, I caved and put jeweled ring on my Firion, but I think the real key was 100% fire immunity on Cecil (was only running 50% for some dumbass reason) and just some rng luck because nobody except Cecil got paralyzed the whole time.
