So from reading their one post about this error-ing issue. Their plan to fix it is do nothing. Wonderful.

This morning around 8:45am I got in no 2002 and no queue, like normal all of the year up until Nov. Now today back to 12+ 2002 and 3500+ queue and going to the back of the line after each 2002.
Edit: So I know it's time of day related and servers getting hammered related. Still shows they are doing nothing to fix it.

the problem has been 100% solved and there's nothing we can do about it sadly. Just have to login at times where the datacentre queue is less than 17k

Either you are doing something different or the game hates you. I've never gone back to the front of the line after a 2002.

I've lost my spot in line when the game throws multiple 2002s in a row, but if I get right back in on my next try, the spot holds

Odd. I have had them in a row. Basically getting 2002 before even seeing my character(after clicking start) and still always put back in place. It's usually gone down in that time as if I was still just waiting.

yeah, in the course of this queue, I started at 4500ish, got to mid 3ks, 2002d about 5 times in a row, reset to low 4k, then 2002d twice, but kept my spot below 3k
yesterday experienced basically the same thing, except the 2nd 2002 came at like 75 and when I logged back in instead of going into queue, I went into game
Maybe for 80-82. Shit felt like ARR-tier storytelling.
But once you get past a specific zone, it kicks the fuck off and doesn't stop with its levels of ridiculousness and god-tier writing.
You'll thank them for having put all the 80-82 content in. Flows so nicely.

Nah its some of the higher level stuff. There's pretty awesome stuff filled with tons of bottom tier filler which is annoying. Origin stuff is pretty great.

It's a matter of timing. If you take more than 1min between the moment the login server times you out (which may be before the client notifies you) and you re-enter the queue, you lose your place.
A friend of mine got a solution: after you're in queue, login again and start a second client, and let it wait in the Start screen. You do have to monitor your queue permanently so you can immediately click on Start, then your character, but you always recover your place.
... unless you get a stream of 2002, then by the second/third attempt to get into the datacenter, it's usually too late.

Whoever wrote Labyrinthos needs to be shot (though the payoff is good), but the rest is mostly geat. Garlemald, Thavnir visit 2 and both <redacted> zones stand out. As do all the dungeons.
They committed a terrible sin in the penultimate quest in not playing the music the quest is named after.

Love the expansion so far playing Reaper in MSQ. But not a big fan on the sneak and follow quests as mentioned above.
Started my afk macro now at lunch so I can continue after work. It's a dick move I know but fuck the 2002 error. Had the queues worked as intended I would not abuse the afk timer.
