That's optimistic timeline to get the 55 wins you need - or are you just a glutton for punishment?

45. I do 5 wins every day.

My win rate is pretty good

So slowly making my way through Endwalker, just hit Garlamald. Figured it would be an entire zone as a city, but the tower there is neat reminds me of Kekfas from FF6. Pretty happy with the expansion so far....I think Shadowbringers had more personality but they could do whatever they wanted there, here they have to stick with what has been built up over the years. Tower of Zot though was A+, super fun dungeon and the final boss was fantastic. Haven't hit any others yet so I am looking forward to being surprised.

Hit 90 way early but I dont mind, looking forward to the rest of the story, I haven't really spoiled myself but you can kinda guess where it is going. Only thing I hate are those dumb escorts they they added, haven't really seen it outside Sharlayan, hopefully it was just an idea a dev had that they throw in to humor them, its not a great system.

The worst thing they added in EW was definitely the tailing quests. I’m not sure how anyone in any game enjoys them, but for some reason devs keep adding them…

Haha out of all the former Final Fantasy bosses to pull into the game I never saw the second Endwalker dungeon final boss one coming ever. Fantastic.

You haven't started Endwalker until the first trial!

Trust me, you cannot guess where it's going.

Report back after Trail #1 ;)

Well that was a god damn shit show. Echo got to 50% I see they took a look at Dancing Plague and thought, MOAR!. The rotation mechanic took me a couple times, but other then that I didnt find it too bad, but summoner has 80% instants atm so i was just dancing around the room, I feel bad for Black Mages.

So I'll spoiler this part but I will just add I LOVE how annoyed they make your character look at Zenos at this point. Dude just cant handle that he is so far beneath you.

The design of Zodiark was fantastic, the 5 missing pieces of him waiting to be rejoined, and his smaller right wing due to the 13th being voided was a great touch.

So yea Zenos better not be the last boss again, that was fine in Stormblood but he is a small fry. Dude just sat there while Fandaniel played everyone like a fiddle. I have no idea what to expect at this point, there are a couple sundered Ascians left but that seems weird to introduce a baddie who would just get stomped. I did find it a neat twist that Zodiark being around is what is keeping reality together to this day which explains why he was being chained up instead of killed.

Also was Xande longing for the end a result of mirroring what Amon wanted? I know Amon created the Xande clone, or did Amon just buy into Xande's crap? Not sure if i missed that lore piece anywhere.

I have zero idea where they go from here at all.

In regards to Xande, its more that he died and then was brought back. He was a conquering king who discovered that death is the ultimate equalizer. No matter how strong he was, he still died and being brought back just turned him into a nihilist; which ended up just reinforcing how Fandaniel felt and led him further down his path.

I don't think anyone would intentionally try to spoil stuff for ya, but I wouldn't go backward in this thread, and I'd definitely read with squinted eyes. There's been plenty of discussion in this thread, openly, about some of the trials, which would be story spoilers.

Anyhow, I did my two weeks, and didn't get everything I wanted from the 10th anniversary event. I'll likely be subscribing for a month to bang some more of that out. I did get clears on third and fourth extreme trials, which was fun. Haven't tried the fifth one yet. That one looks quite complex from the video. Probably not as bad as it seems, but I definitely felt overwhelmed just watching the vid, where usually I don't quite have that feeling.

Game is a blast, but none of my buddies want to play it right now. I'll be playing another season of WoW, and aside from a month to get some 10th anny stuff done, likely won't be resubbing until after Christmas sometime.

Story got crazy, still not done with the 6.0 MSQ, im up to
Ultima Thule just got here
Huge fan of the expansion, feels like FF 14's Legion but with better writing and no stupid artifact grind. Wasn't a huge fan of the lvl 88 trial, bright encounters are tough for me in this game as being red-green colorblind. Every other trial and dungeon though I have enjoyed immensely, and it even felt appropriate to do "that one" with the NPC's instead of other people so I finally did for the first time (it was okay, i find they move too late to learn the fights properly so i am more relying on the consolegamers move list which isnt ideal)

Fun fact about that trial, because Y'shtola can see Aether, she is the only npc that will always move perfectly during that fight.

On the reverse side

the final days dungeon in Rahz, if you bring Y’shtola, she can’t do mechanics well because the mobs lack aether, so she can’t see them
