Boom

1. Dark Souls III (Favorite series ever probably)
2. Uncharted 4 (Fitting end, can't wait for TLOU2)
3. FFXV (Weird, long, Japanese, quirky, but ultimately fun as hell. Welcome back FF)
4. Battlefield 1 (Best shooter I've played this year - need to play TF2 though. After playing a ton of OW this was refreshing)
5. Planet Coaster (the customization in this is insane, but the park management is flimsy - as a builder I think this is a great little game)

Overwatch, Legion, DOOM & Civ 6 are honorable mentions - I've played Legion more than any game above, but it wasn't better than any game above and I can't with a straight face put an MMO in my GOTY discussions for whatever reason.

Overwatch was fun for about a month, but there just isn't much to it - if anything it just makes me wish Blizzard didn't fuck up Titan, as I think the IP has legs but in other genres maybe.

In ranked order:
5. Dragons Dogma (PC Release)
4. Dark Souls III
3. Civ VI
2. FF XV
1. Battlefield 1

No idea how Battlefield redeemed themselves but it did. Titanfall 2 would be ranked 5 but beyond single player campaign I have barely played it.

1. factorio
2. xcom 2
3. bannersaga 2
4. dishonored 2 (no technical issues. made me feel like i was playing old theif games)
5. doom

also played the shit out of darksouls 3, witcher 3, Hex: shards of fate (the pve zone 2 stuff just NOW came out :( ), and weirdly enjoying warhammer quest mostly because we played it so much when i was a youngin.

I think civ VI may be the best civ once we're an expansion or 2 in.

so much factorio.
