This season is the strongest season so far. Very much enjoying it. Season two was a slog

Is this worth slogging through the first two seasons? I think I watched episode 1 and never looked at it again?

Its never outright terrible, but s1 is slow with amazing visuals got pretty alright at the end. Season 2 is is the Lee Pace show and is worth watching for him. Season 3 is flat just really good.

Its not the book though, they figured out after s1 its just never going to be adaptable so they made a story in the universe of Foundation which made is way better.

Yeah I like the show. Seems to just work. Nothing amazing but keeps me watching.

I am really enjoying Season 3. It has a nice pace that does not bog down hardly at all.

Fucking dumb that the show is so much more interesting at the end of season 2 and all of season 3 Ive watched so far. The shows not going to get a renewal soon enough, just after whoever, got their head out of their ass.

Also, ever since I saw the spores release in Prometheus - I figured someone would turn it into a way to get high.

As far as Mule goes - the power of thought and coercion? In a male that is supposed to be around 20 years old? He lines right the fuck up with how I imagine any testosterone filled male would react. Im just surprised he's not (as far as Ive seen anyways) surrounded by concubines.

If they handle the Mule they way they did in the book, it will make a lot of sense in the end of this arc. So far it looks like they are mostly on that track.

Bayta stronger than the mule? didn't see that coming, nor ai Hari letting the mule go. at this point, want Demerzel to rebuild the machines and conquer the galaxy.

I did enjoy the Death star at the beginning of last weeks episode. That was pretty crazy to see 3 planets erased. I am keen as to how this all turns out. The look that the Mule had when Empire Dusk gave that order and saw the consequence...

binged through season 3, forgot its 10 episodes a season on Apple TV+ and not the usual 8 like other networks nowadays. can't wait for the finale. i know the show has been renewed for s4 but i wonder if Apple is gonna quietly can the show, the cost/viewer ratio can't be great

the show does feel 20% unfinished, like every character is missing one or two important scenes to flesh them out. i guess its just an issue with so, so, so many characters that it can't quite give enough screen time to everyone. I could have used a little less of some characters (the mushroom people) and more Demezerel, Dusk/Dawn. I don't love the mule, it took a while for me to remember he was a retarded character on game of thrones and seems kinda retarded here.

its been decades since i read the foundation/robot books so i don't really remember everything but it was cool getting little easter eggs like name dropping Daneel or 0th law.

i haven't read any articles but i'm also pretty certain (speculative spoilers)
"The Mule" is actually Gigantico the music bald guy, and The Mule we see is basically his meat puppet he uses as a front. I'm not sure if they are brothers or maybe the Mule's backstory was partially true and the first warlord he ran across, he "took over" and made a front for his galactic conquest.

Second foundation seems kinda lame right now, Gaal is ok (she is nowhere as terrible as the previous strong black womyn) but her, the deaf guy, and Han NotSolo are a pretty shitty team to go up against Foundation/Empire/Mule. I wish they had a stronger, dominant male character there to be the Mule's foil.

Seems like Dusk is gonna deploy the death star (Asimov would have hated that lol) against Trantor, and our heroes are gonna be caught up in the event horizon or something. Still a lot of questions on who exactly is this god-like being that revived Seldon (spacers from the future?), what is Demezerel gonna do if Empire dies off, and how the Prime Radiant even really works. It all feels like magic.

should be fun watching the finale and then seeing how they end, will it be a big cliffhanger or just a mini-arc end that puts the story ready for a new arc that probably won't happen.

Welp, that was... something.

Ain't no way they're permanently removing Lee Pace from the show. I'm guessing Crip-Empire is going to be played by Pace in a flash forward for next season. Killing off Lady Demerzel is a big wtf. Feels like a power move by the writers, but if she's got replacement comings I guess that's okay. Can probably piece her together in a new body with some mental imprint later anyways.

Overall looking forward to a season 4. Kind of crazy how whacky each season gets, but I'm all for it.

Regarding Demerzel

In prior seasons, didn't she mention her consciousness is decentralized? I do think we will see her again, although maybe this is the catalyst that lets her fully escape Cleon's programming
