Yeah, I hope it's good. I just rewatched the I think Hallmark mini series with Alex Newman not too long ago which is pretty good for the budget and production.

I mean there have been so many different versions made over the years. There's that crazy Rodger corman one with time travel, the Kenneth Branagh one, and I even remember watching one that was made for TNT or something. I tried to find that one because I remember enjoying it as a kid, but no luck.

It's just such a good story.

Why do we need this post?

I heard an interview with del Toro about this and he said it's based on the book directly and not any of the other adaptations since. I want to watch it but my big screen TV is taken apart for a remodel that I'm theoretically going to finish some day and I want to watch it on that with the surround sound and not on the 40" TV in my bedroom.
