I bet that tastes pretty alright while wearing a newspaper cape and heated over a trashcan full of old plastic and moth-eaten clothing.

Been in Austin for a couple of years now. This? Is organized and clearly at some church function. No official pictures exist of the madness that goes on during "soup kitchen" setups in Austin. Don't believe the Rogan hype - Austin is a real fucking apocalyptic mess when it comes to the homeless situation. It isn't even remotely fixed.
I was in austin just driving through about 4 months ago. It looked like those homeless camps in California in multiple spots. A lot of them not even trying to be hidden.

For several years the Austin government was bringing in the homeless and encouraging them to stay, just like San Francisco. Took a few years for the tax paying locals to get pissed enough to see a change.

I've spoken to a few police officers over time here; even when they clean up the camps they sprout up again almost immediately apparently. They had a murder near the Motel 6 on Rundberg in a homeless encampment (two broads got into it and one unloaded a clip into the other) and the police made everyone leave. Quite literally the next day it was back and there were actually more cracked out homeless than before. The city has some legislature that limits what the police can do with the encampments, and the bums know it. Basically they get shuffled off/"cleared out" and they just stay somewhere else for the night, then they go back. Even if they get warnings, because they leave and then come back, they never get to anything else other than warnings. So the police have apparently largely given up even trying to enforce it because the homeless just go back when it only constitutes a warning again.

One of the cops told me about how they were doing some of the major road work (Austin is a fucking mess with torn up roads everywhere, and construction along most major highways) and the crew forgot to lock up the equipment at the end of the night/early morning, with no security guards. Apparently a bunch of meth heads popped the hoods and ripped out a bunch of cabling/tubing to sell at a scrap yard; caused like 5+ million in damage to the machines and delayed work for several weeks in that area.

Homelessness sucks, but it sucks a lot worse for everyone else when you let the homeless problem become an actual problem for everyone else. Retarded blue city doing as retarded blue cities do.

Would benefit everyone to just eliminate them all. Tired of the pussy attitudes towards the world’s problems.
