due to having a storm shelter taking up one side of my garage, i leave my old ass civic parked in the driveway, since i drove it 10miles/yr cuz of wfh i just do oil changes in the driveway. (yes i know, why do oil change for a car that runs 10/miles a year? i read that oil still degrades in the engine even if you don't run it, so change your engine oil once a year even if you don't hit 3k miles, this civic is old enough to vote and still runs fine, 10w20 is only 20bucks a year)

anyway i have a pebble driveway and the first time i dragged out my floor jack (i have a big boi 100lb floor jack), it sounded like something was dying, but its just metal wheels on fuckking pebble.

now when i have to take floorjack out to the driveway, i lay a trail of amazon boxes for it roll on.

Ford flatheads were super popular in the early days of salt flats land speed attempts. They were easy to soup up, would take an insane beating and you could find them by the dozens in junkyards for pocket change.

Modern performance flatheadsEdit

Ford flatheads are still hot rodded today, with a special land speed record class for flathead engines. The current record holder achieves 700 hp (522 kW) and 300 mph (480 km/h).[16][17] The current land speed record for a Ford flathead V8 stands at 302.462mph.[18]
