i remember watching this in the theater and thinking they really tried too hard to be edgy, but they managed to sneak in some really good scenes. it also helped that Nine Inch Nails contributed some of the music. my work friend hated it and wanted us to sneak into Beverly Hills Cop 3, yeah that was shit in comparison.

Yes, this is a bullshit system that Turbotax and other tax preparation companies continue to lobby for.
In every other civilized fucking country, the government just sends you a bill saying what you owe, because they already know in 98% of cases, because they have your W-2 and your 1099s, etc. But because we have lobbies, instead we have to do a bunch of homework and/or pay a bunch of money to come up with a number the government already knows.
